Homestay run by the head of Tourism in Maliville. Very, very friendly man who wants more tourists, was very happy to show dame of mali, etc.
Payment is by donation, he doesn't expect much. Camping possible too. Extremely limited facilities.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Super hospitable family!
Room is clean and so is toilet and bucket shower. We got chicken for dinner, but Oumar is aware of „touristy nutrition ideas“ and his beautiful wife will cook according to your philosophy.
Spent sunset and sunrise on the „Dame de Mali“ viewpoint rock, super beautiful!
We gave him 150.000 for us 2 for one night, dinner and breakfast and he seemed to be happy with the amount.
Please sign his guestbook, he was really sad/upset about people not wanting to leave a few words in it.
The coordinates are NOT the ones of his home, you must come to his „tourist office“ in Mali first and he will take you. Please don’t correct the coordinates as it’s probably on purpose.
Highly recommended!
Very nice place next to Dame du Mali. Oumar will welcome you in his family house with a lot of hospitality. Clean room and simple facilities. You can share meals with Oumar and his family. To reach him you need to go to "La maison du tourisme" in Mali. You can also call him : +224628891684. He can arrange some hikes around if you want.
You still pay what you want.
Really recommended !
Après 2 jours de piste pour rejoindre Mali nous sommes très contents de pouvoir dormir aux pieds de la Dame de Mali....
