Description

Parking for the National Park, thee lots, the 3rd (last in the loop) gives the most privacy away from the entrance itself. At the entrance itself you will find toilets and rubbish bins. Nice short and easy walk to a viewing platform. Can hike from here to the crevice which this park is famous for but it is a shorter hike from either the north or south entrance.

Latest Check-Ins

Very little noice from the nearby E4 road. Nice hiking paths in the forest. À busslast of tourists arrived late on Saturday morning.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for one night in December. The path up from the main Street to the entrance is cleared regularly in winter. We met the caterpillar when we drove up. Sadly we only saw some elk traces but there are definitely elks running around. Nevertheless very beautiful place for a night, very quiet. We walked to the viewing platform (about 800m from the parking lot) the next morning, very nice too. There are some more pathes with short length about maximum 2 km. Snow about 30 cm deep and no clearing on the national park pathes. So take good footwear.
If you need there is a toilet an rubbish bins at the entrance. About 200 m into the wood, there is an information point with a fire place an fire wood for free.

Parked where recommended in the earlier post. Was very quiet with just one other caravan here. Had a brilliant hike the next morning.
