Latest Check-Ins

Due to the high water level, most hiking trails were unfortunately closed on our visit. But since we arrived at the beginning of darkness, we asked if we could still stay here. The parking attendant was very nice and everything was open for us, gate, toilet and shower (cold). Felt very secure here. 5BZD per person and night.

We parked and camped her for two nights and they charged us 5 BZD per person and night and we had access to bathrooms and showers. It was a perfect place for us - we git picked up for our cave kayaking tour here and did the short jungle hike to the Inland Blue Hole.

Nice walk with access to the beginning of the cave. On the other hand the tubing is very expensive, 50usd per person.

Report Check-In

Really friendly, camped 10 bz for 2 persons. Good showers and Toilets . WiFi available. The cave tubing was 100 usd but the water level for us was a bit low . Camping fee covers access to Herman's Cave and the blue hole

Nice and calm spot for the night- the gates are closed but the road is busy until 10 or so. Anyway was a perfectly good night- open windows- some mosquitoes but really not bad. The „soundtrack“ of the jungle is awesome!Bathroom is fine- cold water and clean toilets!
- we did not got the wifi password: they said only the manager can give it and he did not came. So the next one who gets the password pls write it here down for the others

Report Check-In

10bzd to camp (5pp) and 8bz pp to access the trails. showers good even a little cold but that isn't a problem when it's so hot. There are a lot of mozzies but generally a good cheap spot

Report Check-In

Just a parking lot, but, a perfect overnight spot. Paid $5 USD for two people in a van. Good bathrooms, super friendly staff. Cave tours look fun too although we didn't do them. Gates get locked at night so you probably have to arrive before maybe 6pm to get in.

Report Check-In

It’s 8bz/adult for park entrance and 5bz/adult to camp (kids free). Really clean toilets and cold showers. We were able to charge some things in the palapa, and because we were the only ones there at night they allowed us to plug our van in there overnight as well, although we had to move our van early as some birders came before 6am. Friendly staff, talked for hours with Rafael, we really enjoyed this place.

Report Check-In

Still 5 Belize Dollars per person. Can also arrive after closure of the National Park, the caretakers hang around in their building. We arrived at 6.30 PM, no problem. Toilets and cold showers. There is a palapa with tables and where you can charge your electronics. The hosts were extremely nice and interesting, had a great time with one of them who taught us a lot about Belize and Maya. Totally recommended.

Report Check-In

Parking for $5blz pp. clean toilets and friendly staff around. In the morning we went to the cave and the blue hole. Both were nice to see, but not too spectacular.

Report Check-In

Update: Also no garbage bins, they have a "pack in pack out" policy, arguing that this might not be very helpful to manage trash because people still need to dump it somewhere didn't lead anywhere. Regarding the pet policy: Pets are allowed to walk on a leash on the parking lot, "because it would be dangerous for your pet to walk on a leash in the park". Again, arguing that this would be a risk I am willing to take (as if a jaguar would chase my pet when I am around), they still said no. Just feels like they don't want to put any effort into anything and rather ban everything than thinking it through.

Report Check-In

still 8bzd entrance, 5bzd pP for camping in the parking lot. No pets allowed. Blue Hole is nice and refreshing, the cave a bit lame compared to caves we have seen in Mexico.

Report Check-In

Level lot with access to restrooms (pit toilets) and water from rain collection barrels. Still $5BLZ. Man who greeted us was very nice and showed us around as well as explained the different options for trails and tours in the park. We only camped and left in the morning. Mostly quiet at night, very minimal noise from infrequent passing cars on the road nearby.

Report Check-In

Decent spot to overnight. 5 bzd per person. Water tap on site and pit toilets. Cool caves and a nice hiking loop before cooling off in the blue hole. Park entry is still 8 bzd per person

Super nice spot !
Inside the jungle, and the mountains. Had 24 Celsius every night. Hearing the howling monkeys every morning since we arrived 4 days ago.

The blue hole is really nice and we appreciated swimming in it. Not so hot !

The staff is absolutely perfect ! Kind and helpful, 👍🏼👍🏼 to josh and Roberto !

5 $ bzn / adult ! Worth it !

Report Check-In

We just passed by to do something in a raining day. Helmans cave was not Worth it at all. Blue hole was brown. So don't come if it is raining a lot recently. We haven't stayed for the night.

Report Check-In

Nice place to sleep and hike the next day. Next to the highway but quite at night. Only 5.- per person to camp and there's bathrooms and water.

Report Check-In

Park open until 4:30pm after gate close but they told us that you have to knock at their lodge and they will open for camping.
Very friendly team with great knowledge of the birds. A few tours park here for a 4h cave tubing trip.

Report Check-In

Nice national park with some trails, a really cool cave and the blue hole. Cheap basic camping, still $8 Belize per person entrance and $5 Belize for the camping. Only disadvantage: parking/camping is right next to the highway which can be pretty noisy during daytime. At night it was OK.

Report Check-In

They let us camp in the parking area for the national park. Primitive facilities but it was only $10 belize for camping. Entrance to the park is $16 belize.

Report Check-In

- We didn't camp here, but the guy at the entrance to the Blue Hole said they let people camp by the visitor center for 5BZD per person.
- entrance to the park is 8BZD per person - you can go a little bit into the cave, swim in the sinkhole and hike the trails, crossing the cave or tubing is extra (and was pretty hefty)
- sinkhole was ok, there was a current running through it, which was a nice change
- we tried hiking to the tower, but it was raining and the trail was too muddy, but there could have been a nice view from it.
