Democratic Republic of the Congo
There is a barrier here, first the guards requested permit from the tourist office in Moanda (or something like this). After this barrier the military requested 2000 francs as entry fee. Probably a matter of negotiation.

Checkpoint: you negotiate or turn back. I paid 3000. The viewpoint is not really worth a visit I thought, but it’s all about the idea of being at the mouth of the mighty Congo river. You see Soyo (Angola) on the other side. You also cross a village with houses built by the Belgians, interesting if you know DRC’s history well. You also pass some bunkers from WW II. Most people were friendly, most officials were drunk.
