Description

Highly recommend coming here on a sunday morning. There is a great insect & butterfly museum where the owner takes you around for personal guided tours (in french or english) telling you all about the local wildlife and his 30 years of collecting species in the area, fascinating. There is also a great pottery to visit where two guys do demonstrations, make and sell their own stuff. There is a colorful Laotian market with locally grown fresh fruit, veg and handmade products. Best of all is the fab foodie hall for lunch with vendors serving amazing, authentic asian foods (spring rolls, stir-frys, soups etc) which are cooked there and served fresh. All this only on Sundays!
The market is only a souvenir market/shop.

Latest Check-Ins

Honestly the market itself is just a souvenir shop. Did not like it. The Asian food looked good but we only had a juice which was super delicious.
All in all I would not come here again for the market but for a swim in the river.

What a fun place. We arrived at one and were able to browse and eat. Clean up began at 2:30. Catch the last tour at the big museum at 2:30!! Nice crafts, good food, decent prices.

Not sure if this is just Sunday morning. We left around 1.30pm and it was still going strong.
