Access Prohibed we cannot park there

Gorgeous! Open field with some trees. We stayed last night. There were about 6 other groups spread out. Very quiet.

Report Check-In

Arrived shortly after sunset. I'm in a Prius so some parts are a little bumpy getting in. There are a few campers here. It's been a pretty quiet night. The night sky was absolutely beautiful. My phone cam did it no justice. 2 bars GoogleFi

beautiful...flat....views...trees....road noise but worth it...and hey, other fellow campers :)
I give a 5 star but the app is glitches will not let me adjust

Report Check-In

Great spot. A few others here. Decent Verizon and Sprint signal. Right off the highway but not much road noise.

Report Check-In

Fire pit. Some brush for fires. Byofw unless handy with fire starting from scratch. Got two trucks and a 20’ trailer in here no problem. Arrived at sunset didn’t get to explore the area at all. Seems vast! Stars are great (obviously) and the highway noise isn’t bad at all. 10/10 would stay again.
Two bars VZW.

Report Check-In

Not crowded, lots of flat places. Fire rings but no amenities. Good T-Mobile signal.

Report Check-In

Had to stop to sleep a bit on the way to Vegas. This was perfect. Right off of the interstate and tons of space. As someone else mentioned, there is plenty of space on both sides of the interstate.

Report Check-In

Pulled in here around 11:30pm, no problem. There seems to be blm land on both sides of the highway. Pretty open and plenty of room to spread out. Good for a night or a couple nights. You can hear the highway, but it’s not too bad. A couple other campers scattered around.

Report Check-In

There are areas on both sides of I-40. Seems the north side is the most popular. After some scouting around, finally just stayed near the hwy to the left side about 100 yards in or so. No rain in the forecast, so no worries about getting stuck. There are plenty of places to camp, either in the open or nestled in the trees. If you go further back on to the old 66, there are even more places.. I’d camp here again for sure.

Report Check-In

Lots of room to spread out if you don’t mind driving around. Good cell service, a little road noise. Outhouses close to the entrance. In late April, low 40s at night, 80s during the day.

Report Check-In

Nice place, stayed with 2 other cars. Be careful for soft mud, it can be tricky.

Report Check-In

Très belle endroit un peu bruyant mais correct. Faire attention si le chemin est mouillé il devient très mou

Report Check-In

Flat and easy to navigate. Stayed for about a week and really enjoyed it. Walked the abandoned section of Route 66 nearby. Mostly just low growing prickly pear cacti to watch out for, and some flies during the day, but it wasn’t bad for bugs. The sunsets were stunning, and made up for the highway noise.

Report Check-In

Camping off my motorcycle. excellent wide open spot with trees you can park near. Lots of firewood as well. yes, can hear hwy, but still nice spot.

Report Check-In

Free large campground. Some spots have fire pits and there are several trees. You can hear the highway but it's not annoying.

Report Check-In

Big rig friendly. Beautiful stars last night. We were the only ones here.

Report Check-In

nice free campsite on way to canyon, much cooler than desert alternatives. ran into search & rescue office here who said fine to camp, dont need a 4x4 just beware a bit muddy nearly got stuck in our 2wd ram van.

Report Check-In

Rough road but nice and quiet area by the highway. Lots of spots to park and camp.

Report Check-In

The area is big and wide open, yet there are spots where you can tuck in under a tree. If you look around, you can find a few fire rings.

There's definitely highway noise, but it's dark at night and the price is right.
