Due to a road wash-out, we were unable to camp at the place we had intended to camp. We were given directions by a local to camp near the mansion. Failing to find that, we found this spot by luck. Behind the Copec leading into Coya, off Highway H-265, is a big grey building which happens to be a recreational building. There is a dirt parking lot surrounding the building, and behind it is a small grove of trees. We parked here for the night and pitched our tent in the tree grove. We could hear the noise from the soccer match in the building but that ended by 10pm. There were several cars parked in the lot, but not in the area behind the building. The lot was empty once the soccer match ended. It was a quiet place to call home for the night, though we did hear some horses in the wee hours and stray dogs did come through. There were many mounds of horse pies in the area. Overall, not too bad if you're desperate like we were. Nobody bothered us in the morning though cars were parked in the main part of the lot.
