Democratic Republic of the Congo
Good hotel with beautiful city view and wonderful sunsets; nice staff. Good place to spend the night and have a good meal (chicken and fries, Viande de “parc”); quite sure? they'll let you camp on the small parking lot, but not necessarily made for Overlanders. Prices negotiable. Difficult for vehicles much larger than LC/Landy.

Well named. Great views over Matadi and Congo River. We paid $40 per room with breakfast AC and cold water showers. There is ponderous wifi and an equally ponderous restaurant. Better to buy Orange sim card.Reception guy helpful with other stuff. Gated parking for 4x4s.
Report Check-InTricky to get to, especially in rush hour, but great view! We hadn’t been able to get dollars/francs, so the hotel manager arranged for a driver to take me to an atm for 10,000 francs. Super nice people. We got a nice room on the top floor. Most of the staff don’t speak any English (hard to order even chicken and beer).
Report Check-InJust googled the hotel and message appears blow side bar map saying the hotel is

Any up date on this?
Report Check-InMore or less as described. Narrow and hilly so a little tricky to get to when there is traffic—unless you’re in a Toyota Yaris like all the locals. We paid US$40 for the room and were allowed to share. Not normally allowed for two males and were asked to check out early so nobody got suspicious. Dinner was reasonable but at US$10 was quite expensive.
Report Check-InAfter negotiating and starting to leave, double in room with best view for $40 ($60 normal) including small breakfast. Hotel near empty. Would be difficult for vehicles much larger than landcruiser/Landy to get to and enter hotel parking.
Report Check-InDefinitely not a new hotel. It is pretty decent though. But, after I had dinner in the restaurant and went up to my room, they switched off the generator. So no lights, no air conditioning, no hot water, no internet and no charging my phone as you need electricity for all of that. So I paid 35 usd to have all that, and they just switched off the generator. Through the windows I saw the rest of the town did have electricity.
Report Check-InWiFi now at ok speed. Single $30, no haggling. Certainly not ‘new’ anymore, but pretty nice.
Nice people. Restaurant ok, but a touch expensive.
Nice hotel, out of the way though, amazing view. Rooms start from 50USD but we negotiated this down to 30USD (as we got two rooms and it was quiet). Very nice rooms. Hot water. Restaurant was closed by 8pm.
