French Guiana
we didn't actually use this office as we arrived from Brazil and got our insurance in Cayenne, but CA2P was the only firm in French Guiana (and we went to every insurance office that we could find!) that would insure an EU (non-French) reg'd vehicle. Non-EU vehicles will have more choice, but if you are arriving from Suriname with an EU vehicle, this is probably your only option. Price varies hugely depending on your vehicle, but it's expensive whatever you have. See notes in the CA2P entry for Cayenne.

(No company do the insurance) I come from Suriname to French. The company was changed their internal rule and will not do a car insurance on my US plate car. By the way, I asked 6 company in this town and the staff from CA2P help me search and dial a phone to ask other company. No company do it. I ask policeman in big police station and border officer, they said I should search on internet or take boat back to Suriname to buy insurance. When I prepare back to Suriname on the border, I saw a Guyana car and ask her how to buy the insurance. She come from Chile and work on Guyana and told me that she want to go Basil via French. She told me no company will do the insurance in Suriname. She give up and go back to Guyana. After, I visited the three times to CA2P. I request them to help me. Say no. Finally, I request them to make a hand write insurance documents and stamp their chop on A4 paper to me. I know it's illegal but I need to pass French and to go Basil. Sad.
