Parque municipal. @kombi_america

Estacionamento bem localizado. passamos duas noites. Nos sentimos seguros. Existe uma Torneira de água pública.

Report Check-In

water tap available, nice view of the sea and lighthouse. There is one road that is used as a dogging location, but the main car park area under the palm trees is safe and full of other campervans

Report Check-In

not the most glamour but ok for.one night. we went a bit further than the park but not until the lighthouse as the terrain of the parking is very uneven there and there is a smell.

Report Check-In

We were heading down to the lighthouse but there was a terrible smell. So we stayed in the large lot near the Rambla. There are grassy spots and trees for shade and it's cleaner. There is no shade down at the lighthouse. 4G Claro. Coordinates for the parking are: -34.929686, -56.159741. (If you look at maps.me, it shows a "camping" icon.). You can get free Wi-Fi either at the Ancap station on the Rambla or the restaurant near the lighthouse. Was pretty quiet for a Saturday night.

Fine but not great. It's very dirty lot of garbage and condoms.
Windy.
one toilet but not clean at all.
You can ask for water at the lighthouse.
Fine just for sleep but pretty noisy as people spend it's it's time going around with their car.

Report Check-In

We stayed 3 nights in the rainy days of the end of April. It was quiet the 2 first nights, police patrolling, other overlanders, and water tap along the avenue. During the last night (Saturday around 23:00) a man with a beer in his hand tried to look inside our van. I opened the door and he started running really fast, still holding his beer... the night was a bit more noisy.

This is an interesting place!!! Totally free, near to Montevideo city center. Security at night. Potable water and good views to Montevideo nights.

Very nice place to stay with good restaurant nearby. There is a shopping mall only a few streets away where also you can find a stop of the hop-on hoff of bus tour. Felt really safe.

Report Check-In

As others have stated decent place close to the port for last/first night in country. A little noisy with loud music from "parkers" in the middle of the night, but the price & location was right.

Report Check-In

Nice view, but no amenities (no wc, no showers). Little noisy until 11pm (we were there on a thursday night) but overall a good free spot to spend one night. Beautiful sunset!

Report Check-In

Last night in our van before we ship it home 😢. The place is fine for a night, especially so close to the city. Fishermen and some shady cars but great views and otherwise quiet. People in the restaurant were nice. Recommended!

So this is where you want to be. Free wifi from the restaurant. Cheap beer and menu. Safe parking lot. Windy but quiet. Very welcoming staff. Highly recommended

Report Check-In

Drive around the restaurant. There park on the concrete strips. No problem to stay there with a motorhome. Compared to the colder season, very busy until late (cars with couples looking for a secluded place)

Report Check-In

it's possible to park here without problems. it's the better safe place in Montevideo. free and water at the restaurant.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Good place to stay after leaving the ship or before giving the camper to the harbour. The restaurant nearby has good meals and the owner is very friendly. We were allowed to use the bathrooms the whole day.

Report Check-In

we went here for the Night and at midnight the police asked us to leave..

Nice wildcamp at the end of a pier and you will most probably meet other overlanders. Beautifully located but no facilities. You can use the toilets at the fuel station (at least 5 minutes walk) for 10 Pesos or ask in the restaurant next to the parking when it is open (will probably not work too often). Some people asked for electricity after eating at the restaurant and were permitted to plug in. Police came and saw our little party but didn't complain. Quiet in the week but crowded on weekends. Safe.

Report Check-In

we stayed here to. A bit busy during the night but still o.k. Lots of space and save.

Report Check-In

Each tree was used as a spot for couples in a car. Quite busy and noisy. But nice grassy area. Really good spot for running along the rambla. There are mileposts to see how far you have run. Baños at the gas station nearby cost 10 pesos. Quite humid air at the end of March.

Report Check-In

Great spot for a bit of urban camping. Didn't get hassled and got a good night's sleep.

Report Check-In

it was our first night after we got our van from port

Report Check-In

it is our 2nd stay here - this time it was Saturday. During the week nice and quiet - at the weekend noisy and very frequented by couples, which likes to throw away condoms just out of the window.

Report Check-In

Nice open space, safe at night but lot of people passing by during the night.
