This is a very pretty spot. You are high above the lake and have a great view of the lake and the surrounding hills.
When we first arrived (4pm) we felt very remote and didn't expect to see anyone. By dark (6:30pm) we had seen 11 motos and one pickup. Most smiled and waved and a couple stopped to chat.
We felt ok when we went to sleep. But at 3am we got The Knock. A Carretera Policía truck was outside. He wanted to know when we were leaving and when we arrived (in the morning and the previous evening). He said that would be fine and left. Not sure what the problem was, between my poor Spanish and the grogginess I didn't understand. This is likely private property, or maybe someone just thought we looked suspicious. We would recommend not staying here.
Very quiet spot with amazing views over the Laguna. It's completely hidden and real soundproof from the road. A little gravel road in good condition leads here for a kilometer or two and it's just a flat pace next to that.
no-one around - great place to overnight.
Not sure about really big rigs, since this spot is one of the few turn around options.
