we checjed this place, it was at night, but we didn't find any rock to hide ourselves behind. The access to the reservoir is blocked with dirt piles, so you can only camp right next to the street - we decided to go further down below the dam.

we stayed behind the big rock formation behind the road. Now start of rainseason, almost dry lake, so we saw flamingos.

We stayed behind a big rock on a little road on the top of the Lake. We were more hidden than on the lake side. Also the lake rises during the night and beach doesnt seem Too secure. Realy nice view and a quiet night.

Trying to split up the drive to Uyuni we camped here for a night. It's a bit close to the highway and full of garbage but the price is free. No amenities. Tent campers, if you are in a bind I think you could make this work but it won't be pretty. Lots of locals come here and use it as a car wash. Too much traffic noise and too exposed.

Reservoir by the road just after the town of Challapata. Most of the access roads to the shore have been blocked but you can negotiate one. No facilities. Free.
