I went there this morning. Beautiful scenery. But closed for swimming. Tourists drowned there a while ago

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Place is close due to mortal accidents with whirlpools in the lake.

Report Check-In

This place is closed for visiting or swimming. The owner told us that there are swirls on the water occasionaly, which are dangerous.

Beautiful place. Normal price is 10 pp for swimming and 30 for overnight stay (2p.). It's always possible to negotiate :-) One toilet was closed the other one was really dirty!

Super spot to camp. Very friendly people, very safe. We paid for swimming (5Bs per person) and could stay overnight for free. We gave them new sun screen for the little boy, whose skin was damaged by the sun and the freezing cold. Awesome to go for a swim with sunrise in the steaming lake and have a picknick at the waterfront. Safer to park at the big side, as in the night the lake floods on the entrance side. Enjoy!

usually I am a bit of a pussy when it comes to hot springs staying away from the hot sections but even for me this was not hot enough. maybe we got a bad day. it is a lovely place in a beautiful setting but I would come here looking for a swim not a thermal bath. we didn't swim.

10bo por person for Swimming. Very friendly guy Freddy. Told us about the History and the landscape. Good Toilets are here now. Down in the valley are a lot of pools in construction in case you wont it less natural.

Report Check-In

The only thing established is the money. No water, no shower, no usuable toilets, no electricity. The visitors use the bush toilets. Most wild camps are better. The landscape is beautiful.

Report Check-In

Amazing place and view. Expensive since there are no services (bathrooms unusable) , the lake itself and surroundings very clean. There is a lady not nice at all (very commerciant) and a really nice man. The lady told us that not to camp there was not safe because of burglaries, specially late at night (when we arrived) but still wanted to charge us 100 bs (2 person). We ended up paying 50 bs for the two of us. We had no more money and after begging the not nice lady accepted but with a really bad attitude and telling us we should leave first thing in the morning. This place should either improve the services or lower the cost. But repit: beautiful

Nice spot but toilets were closed. She opened them for us but the cubicles were locked! We managed to reach over the door and open them… No water in the toilets and it was very busy during the day. 50 BOB per person to swim and camp… Expensive for the lack of facilities but she 'has a lot of dogs to feed'!

Report Check-In

A place with a view. Thermal pool is warm and nice, good for swimming. Bathrooms unusable. At the top of a hill after a long, tough dirt road. 50 BS p/person

Report Check-In

Pools are nice. Camping area is ok. Toilets are usable but with a bucket flush only as there is no running water in the bathrooms. We were awoken at 5:00am by a family who came here to do their laundry. Paid 100 Bolivianos for our family of 3.

Report Check-In

Nice spot with very nice owner, busy during the day (bolivianos washing their clothes or painting their camion), quiet during the night and in the morning, toilets not in use

Report Check-In

nice place to stay for one night, hot natural swimming-pool open all night, a bit dirty around, toilets not usable

Report Check-In

This is an awesome place to stay. Short dirt track from the main road to reach the massive (100m across) circular hot pool. You can park right on the edge of the lake. Basic toilet block available. It was busy when we arrived but everyone left by dark. In the morning there was no one there and we had a beautiful solo soak. B70 per night.

20 kms on the road to Oruro lies Tarapaya. Pass the village on your right side, take the narrow bridge on the left side that crosses a stream and follow 'laguna'. At the top is a great thermal bath of 35 degrees and is a lovely camping spot. Price: 40 *bolivianos* (2 persons and car)

Price: Bs.40 per couple + vehicle
