you can sleep under a roof in the old abandoned restaurant. protected from the cold and wind. from 6pm all tours are gone and the island is so quiet with a nice sunset. toilets very clean with soap and paper!

Report Check-In

Started talking with the older couple that lives on this island for 40 years (they are 80+) and also own the little shop.
They also have a room with bed / mattresses to sleep inside. Although I know the guards offer for free for cyclists, I stayed at their place and had diner with them. They only cook if they have enough food (it’s simple and what they eat as well), once a week she goes to the market with the bus to stock up her shop and food, that’s why.
Lovely people and he is still very up to date about the world. I paid 30, for food and sleeping.

we were here beginning of June and the temperature were very cold, they offered us to sleep in one of gardian's room, behind a small museum. Much more better than the -6 or -16 anonced in the morning. We paid 30 bol p.p for the entrance in the island. Clean bathroom and we wonderful sunset

Report Check-In

Nice Island. Not really an official campsite, but they have a few spots for a tent and allow you to camp. Entry fee is 30 BOB. Toilets are clean and open the hole night. Little shop with drinks and snacks. During strong wind I was offered to sleep in a storage room. No WiFi, no shower.

Report Check-In

Still 30Bs to enter the island. The rangers were really friendly and let us stay in their meeting room which looked out over the Salar. Good clean toilets and outside there is a tap with water which we drank (after treating with steripen).

maravilhosa noite, ficamos do lado oposto da ilha assim tivemos proteção do vento.

If you‘re running out of water, you can buy bottled water in the tienda, it‘s a little more expensive than usually, but still not overpriced. 10 Bol for 2 L of water. North of this island there are other islands that are not touristic.

Report Check-In

Bs 30/person entrance fee, but a nice hike between the cactus.
Quiet at night.

I was on a solo bike tour from Ecuador to Ushuaia. I spent 1 night on Isla de Incahuasi. Entry fee= 30 BOB (US$4.50) which included camping inside a bare room. Good value. The room had space for 3-4 tents or 6-8 sleeping bags (without tents), plus gear. Bikes stayed outside. See photos. Price included faucet water which we treated. Tasted good. Also included were use of all facilities including bathrooms, 220V for charging electronics (evenings), hiking around the island and climbing to the lookout at the high point. Visitors could camp for free in undeveloped areas of island but to protect this fragile environment they should try to use the established bathrooms, not dig holes or pee on the ground (little rain = bad smell). Impossible to dig a hole in the hard salt.

There was a small store, with basic foods, and a small restaurant. I and my 2 Brazilian friends each had an omelet with vegetables. We enjoyed the meal. Price was 20 BOB ($3) each which was less than expected in this touristy place. Drinks were extra. See photo.

I slept fine inside my tent. The camping room served its purpose and was warmer than camping outside. It was close to the bathrooms. No views, however. Isla del Pescado, where I wild camped yesterday, had no services but was much more scenic, peaceful and romantic, with good views. That I rate 9/10, whereas the Incahuasi overnight I rate only 5/10. Mostly, here it was too crowded to be romantic.

We had a lovely 2 nights on the opposite side of the Island to the official parking, and didn't have to pay anything. We visited the facilities to see what was there; the restaurant appears to have burned down, the 'shop' wasn't offering meals when we were there, and there was no sign of any rooms available. The shop only sells packaged basics- crackers, crisps, beer. Make sure you arrive fully prepared to make every meal yourself out here! You also have to pay the 30bob just to use the toilets now...

Report Check-In

We sleep one night here, super quiet, beautiful stars and night and no wind. Very nice spot

Report Check-In

Magical place. We cam to camp in our tent. When we got here there was atleast 100 people they were all on tours. They all left about 6 pm . We decided to stay in the stone hut instead of our tent. About 8 another 100 tour people showed up. Still worth coming out to see.

Report Check-In

Nice and tranquil place once the tours are gone. We were told to camp on the east-side of the island because of the wind. Salt is soft close to the island in some places and there are only toilets right by the park office.

Report Check-In

Stopped by to check it out, but didn't pay to enter and use hiking. But the island looked nice and facilities are well kept. We Just emptied our trash in the cans in the parking lot, used the bathrooms which was no charge, and headed off for a remote spot.

Report Check-In

I was a cyclist and got interesting price. The administrator told me the ticket was 30, and the ticket plus staying in the refugee(only mattress provided but much better than camping in the freezing outside) was 15.

Report Check-In

Nice parking for Campers. Toilet clean. 30 bol for entry. Quiet when Tours leaving.

If Sali, the big white/grey dog (see photo), is still there, please give him some water and food.
We found him super thirsty in the middle of the salar, gave him a lot of water and some food, and brought him here. Hopefully he‘ll live another few years happily here! 🐶❤️

Report Check-In

Worth the entry fee of 30bols. Nice little hike and clean toilets.
The food in the restaurant is pretty good too. The daily menu is a 3 course-lunch for 45bol (without drinks). We had some good lama meat!

Report Check-In

Still 30bol to enter the island. Cyclists are welcomed into the empty room(s) behind the little museum as a place to sleep for free. Bathrooms open all night, and the water is potable apparently. The staff around are fairly friendly. Silent at night after all the jeeps leave.

Report Check-In

we stayed in front of the island. free, quite and a bit windy until 22.00 after its ok. not realy cold at night...flat for sure!!!

Report Check-In

Très bon endroit pour passer la nuit et pour voir le coucher et le lever du soleil.
30B par personne l’entrée sur l’île.

Report Check-In

Cyclists, and others not on organised tours: you can sleep inside here. It costs 5bob pp, plus the usual entrance fee. Connected to the restaurant we had a warm room to ourselves to cook and sleep. Just ask later in the day at the ticket office.

Another tip: if you wait until just before sunset to buy your ticket you can get the local's price (15bob), made easier if you speak a good bit of Spanish. Includes bathroom and everything

Report Check-In

Nobody asked me for money. There's a little tienda that also serves food. There's also a fancier looking tourist restaurant but didn't look at the menu.

Report Check-In

Just stopped for the day and a quick walk around the island. Nice hiking trail, but apart from that you get the same for free on the other bigger islands - without tourists. If you come here between 10 and 12 am it should be quite lonely too (as it were for us)

Report Check-In

Parking lot in front of the island. Great view over the salar. Island tichet (BOB 30 per person) gives access to toilets. No other facilities. Busy with touring companies during the day, but very quiet after sunset. BOB 60 (2 adults, camper).

Report Check-In

Nice stop, 30 pesos per person to go on the island, toilet only with ticket. There is also a cafetaria on site and picnic tables.

Report Check-In

We camped here to take advantage of the great views at sunset and to have access to restrooms (requires purchase of 30B ticket). A bit windy at dusk and too many tourist during day but they are all gone by 6pm. There is a cafeteria that is open for lunch.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay. Toilet facilities on the island. Your entrance ticket for the islands included using of facilities. We stayed two nights there and just paid once. (30 Bolivianos). Very nice staff.

On the Salar next to the island. Toilets, water and a restaurant are available on the island. Picnic tables also. Very very quiet after sunset but during the day lots of Landcruisers. Camping here is FREE. Entry to Island walk is B30 per person and you need to show the ticket to use the toilets.
