As of today (05/2017) if you want to go to Aktau WITH YOUR CAR you must buy your ticket in Alat. There is a nice lady who will give you her number (+994552665354, Vika) and inform you about the departing ferries, since it depends on the weather and load.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
