Shum Cheremosha | Hotel

Aleksandra Kirsanova, a co-founder of At Home In Ukraine Travel Agency, providing tours the highways and byways around Ukraine to our foreign visitors. I was exploring Verhovyna, the very heart of Ukrainian highlands and was recommended to stay in Shum Cheremosha. I followed the advice and stayed there for a week a month ago, in a comfortable private household, fully-equipped with all necessities for tourists who like active outdoors but prefer having a night rest in comfortable conditions, as I do ;)). I was warmly welcomed by its hostess Olha, who has been in rental business (a part of Rural Green Tourism, quite popular in Ukraine) for 16 years. She is well-organised, caring and hospitable, totally responsible; as a local she is good at providing the detailed information on various activities around. Staying in the rental unit was warm, absolutely safe, peaceful and delicious:). Olha knows her subject!

We left our car parked here for two nights while we were hiking in the mountains and when we came back the owners allowed us to sleep in our car and use their facilities. A very nice place run from the mother and daughter that could speak a little English. They prepared for us delicious local food, all local produce and home made. They also have rooms and organize tours and rafting around. We really recommend them. Very cheap!
