When you enter the national park Mavrovo you ought to pay 30 denar per person tourist tax at the info center, good info there. After a few kilometers (before hotel golden place) you can leave the street via a dirt road and drive down to the lake. There is lots of space parking and staying over night. Buy food before you come here as there are only small shops and hotels in the area.

Report Check-InAccess to the grassy area is a little bit steep but we did it without 4x4. A lot of locals around the area, but everyone is minding their own business. Nice place by the lake. Sadly there's a lot of waste lying around..
Report Check-InLots of space and there was only one other car in the area. Great place to stay the night, 4x4 recommended. Beautiful area, the only problem was scattered garbage from previous campers
