Just a nice quiet spot with 360 views well away from the main road. Turn off at the marker and keep slightly right up the small hill. You can hide behind the dirt heaps or be exposed on the top side and enjoy the views.

I've been there and the description to get there is perfect. Going towards the hill, right after it we find several shacks, it seems to me that there are people living here now. We didn't feel safe staying in the surroundings, we went back to the road and looked for another place. I found a new spot, see "near Domeyko"
Report Check-InStill a good place to stay for a night on your way south or north! Take the dirtroad away from the highway and search yourself a place! We drove the road for around 800m turned right than and parked our van / set our tent in a little muld.

Report Check-InAs described... if headed south pull off a couple hundred meters before the marker and follow the road until you see the open gate, propped open with stones and looks like it hasn’t been closed in a long time... follow a couple hundred yards and you’ll see a spot on the right that is level and perfect to wild camp... can’t hear the noise from the road and only a very slight buzz from the electric lines nearby... very still here too, no wind at all... perfect!
Report Check-InVery quiet night under the stars. Don't know if we have found the exact place but there are many options to enjoy.
