This must surely be the most expensive ferry crossing in the world! If you can persuade them you are a 'car' it's GYD9,000. Small camper (under 4100lbs) = GYD14,000. Camper over 4100lbs = GYD22,000!!!! That's over US $100 for a river crossing of around 300m!!! (payment made is west-bound only). We tried to negotiate but they weren't interested. Needless to say... we didn't go. If, despite the cost, you still want to go, you can buy the ticket either at Western Union in Georgetown or on the boat when you get there.
