Description

This is just one of many many beautiful wildcamp spots to be found around the Rupununi. We picked here because it is very slightly higher ground and gives good around views for amazing sunsets, but you can park-up pretty much anywhere and have stunning scenery. If you are near a village you need to seek permission from the Tuschau (chief) but otherwise, just pick your spot. There are a few fresh-water streams & rivers around for water (some are nice for bathing) but otherwise no facilities. Free.

Latest Check-Ins

Didn't camp at this exact spot, just at one near next to the road as it was dark already. But want to update that its still the same in 2022: Rupununi is a wildcamp paradise, there are soo many spots. When near a village, first go to the chief/tuschau for permission to wildcamp, hike or other activities.
