Latest Check-Ins

We have been there exactly 6 years ago with a rally team (see pictures attached) and the place is not the same anymore. The building on the wartefront burned down and they build up a new bar. Anyway there is no sand beach anymore but stones around the beach of the camp. Price is expensive for just a place on a dirt parking area next to the loud bar. We would not go again. It was just a nice memory for us 2024 vs. 2018.

Report Check-In

Not recommended for campers. The food (buffet) is expensive and terrible. And at night there was loud music and fires with plastic. Very touristy.

Report Check-In

It’s a good place for a night before or after the border. You can park on the river side. There are some spots with shade but they are on the parking lot next to the bar (which was luckily not in use when we’re there, maybe due to Ramadan).

But don’t expect something nice or special. It’s a rundown place with tiles falling from the wall in the not so clean bathroom, the water in the pool was greenish and you can’t the the bottom. Won’t swim here. Low water pressure in the shower, the first on the left side is lockable.

Wi-Fi works around the restaurant for what’s app but nothing more. Don’t expect to work.

Camping is 500 for two and a car with roof-tent cold beer is 200.

well, i came her to camp. there us a toilet and shower. door cant be locked. food is chicken/fish with dry rice or chips. to be honest, the worst food i had anywhere on my trip.
location is very nice next to the river.

Report Check-In

Beautiful setting, nice people, clean pool.
Rooms are 750pp including breakfast (with omelette and sausages), camping at the river beach is 500 without breakfast.
Downside: bar and mosque in direct competition to steal your sleep.
Food is mediocre (they use industrial seasoning).
Nice place to stay for a night.

Report Check-In

All as described before-they have a large place directly on the river (we heard the dolphins in the night)and a few places under trees with more shadow. Very friendly staff, excellent dinner-sometimes buffet (for 450 Dalasi). Nice pool in the garden free also for campers.

Report Check-In

...as described before: 500 for camping, optional breakfast is 150/p.

We spend here two really lovely nights at the campground. There is a pool, a restaurant and clean toilets with cold showers (they clean every mornig!). The staff is very friendly and will help you with every think you need. They have music in the evening close to the campground. You better go dancing or use some earplugs until midnight. We really recomend birdwhatching here with Omar. It was amacing!!! Best place to be after crossing the border from Senegal to Gambia. We payed 500 Dalasi per night and 1200 for a boad trip (for 2 persons).

Report Check-In

Spent a night here with a car and a RTT. Wifi was not working and shower is cold. You better go for some wild camping and spend the 500 Dalasi on Beer.

Report Check-In

Good place to stop, big space for parking. We came with minibus and slept in the tent 500 Dalasi without breakfast, but use of toilet and shower. We did also the boat trip for 1200 D, it was nice. Attention: in this month and up to the rain season the temperature is crazy, I think 42...45°C and strong sun! between 10 and 18 we had to stay in the shade!

Report Check-In

Too expensive. I asked at a family compound to pitch my tent and it was no problem. The lodge wanted 650 dalasi for camping. crazy.

Report Check-In

Avoid. A lot of money for a run down and outdated campsite. Camping is 650 Dalasi per night per tent and rooms are 750 Dalasi per person per night. Basic facilities and restaurant is expensive (400-500 Dalasi per dish and 100 Dalasi per 330ml Jul Beer). Generator is seriously loud and the campsite is right by the bar which plays blaring music until midnight. They also use their own exchange rates so if paying in CFA it will cost you more.

Report Check-In

Would be a very nice place but too expensive.
Camping would be possible but they wanted 500 Dalasi, room is only 600 so i took a room. You can use the pool.
Breakfast is 150 D, Dinner (Buffet with starter, main dish and some fruits) is 400 D.
For the wifi you have to pay 100 D extra and its not good at all.

Update
They do allow camping there was at least 30 over landers here last night
300d or 400d with breakfast

Report Check-In

Note that there is NO camping, rooms only. Cheapest are 650pp (has ensuite). Nice spot with a pool, restaurant, bar. Mozzie nets provided.

Report Check-In

lodge with a few spots for a camping car. Nice few to the gambia river.
The bar and restaurant play music up to the night and is direct at the camp spot. So be part of it or take ear plugs at evening
We eat in the poor village here to support them. We think it is better than leave all money here in the camp.
At the camp and also in the village they offer a boat trip. It is amazing! you see some birds and maybe krokos and warans. But the best is the landscape you go trough.
We paid 500 dalasi for 2 person for camp and the boat trip is 300gd pp but minimum 1200gd per boat (2h).
Big trucks need to park outside on a gated place.
