Overall very clean and comfortable. Yes the lady has the rosé out at 10am, and she doesn't seem super interested in answering questions, but she's still welcoming nonetheless. I splurged on the room with ensuite bathroom for 280,000 GNF, but there's also rooms with shared bathrooms at 150,000. Running water works well. Lights work all the time but power in the power sockets comes and goes, but works most of the time. Food is indeed expensive, 150,000 GNF for dinner but it's good quality and quantity (big salad with veggies from the garden, loads of chicken and potatoes and bread). Other travellers pass by. Overall a comfortable stay !

I had a wonderful stay. I was a bit nervous about this place after reading the comments here. I had however a very good stay.

The food is really nice, and the portions enormous. You'll enjoy that. Yes it is pricey, but the quality is (much) better than elsewhere.

Don't hesitate, this is a really good place.

Report Check-In

Clean, nice and with shower.
Food to expensive, but the camping price is OK.
100000GNF / night for 2 P. and truck

Report Check-In

Good place to stay in Labe with a rooftop tent. Sufficient level ground in the parking lot. Price 100,000GF for 2 of us. Good clean shower and flushing toilet.
There is a night club that goes onto 4am. However it must be at least 1 or 2km away so it must disturb the whole town!. Ear plugs blocked out the constant thud.
Nice covered area to relax in.
Secure compound at night.

Report Check-In

What a place. I understand why it divides opinion.

Pros:
- great shower, good pressure and hot water
- quite nice grounds
- decent pizza (if they choose to open the restaurant)
- owners can be friendly at times, especially flavio
- nice covered outdoor sitting area in the restaurant

Cons:
- very expensive. Pizza is 100,000, omellete 40,000 (it's 10,000 next door). Water is 20,000 (not cold) or you can get it cold next door for 6,000.
- very loud night club/MC going until very late most nights, next door.
- rock hard bed (I didn't mind it much)
- lots of mosquitos in the bathroom as it's badly designed and is always wet
- the owners sometimes seem like they don't really care. Not very communicative.

Nice place to stay. The lady was not drunk when we came despite the fact that it was already after noon. Her Italian husband is also very friendly and speaks English but he is obviously not allowed to make decisions. You have to handle everything through her. Water is super hot, the whole area is super beautiful, rooms are quite cold so you don’t need an AC but the mattress was terrible. Recommend this place but try to get a different room than the yellow house with the giraffe picture. Unfortunately they didn’t offer pizza when we were there and we didn’t stay for breakfast, so can’t say anything about the food.

Report Check-In

The rooms clean and shower is hot!! Price for a double is 300t GNF. Compared to other accomodations it is good, but in general overpriced compared to the living standard and with Guinea Bissau, which is quite equal.
The host loves wine and is usually loaded by the early afternoon and gets into variable mood. In the morning she is nice, but nevertheless not interested in helping to organize any touristic excursion etc.

They offer food in the restaurant, but the food is absolutely overpriced.

You will find a nice and lovely restaurant down the road, ca. 400m away, which serves delicious food for a very reasonable pricing. They also help to organize mototaxis to visit the 40km away waterfalls.

Report Check-In

Well… the owner lady has a huge problem with alcohol. After 12 a.m., don’t talk to her as everything will bee „no“ and she gets really grumpy. Theoretically, she speaks fluently English, but not when she’s drunk, and that’s like 18 hours per day. She takes a nap every afternoon, so don’t expect anything that time as her employees are not allowed to sell drinks etc.
Room is 300.000 and clean, shower is hot (!) and mattress fouton-style.
Read the prices before giving her your laundry, a full bag of it can cost more than a room!
Food is heavily overpriced, breakfast (50.000 extra!) consists of bread, butter, jam & Nescafé, omelette is 40.000 extra. The restaurant around the corner sells omelette with vegetables and Baguette for 15.000 and tea for 2000. Dinner there is 30.000 for Spaghetti Bolognese, a third of what the drunk lady charges for the same dish.
No WiFi, but good 4G. Quiet location, beautiful garden, safe parking. Go there for hot showers and good sleep, but eat somewhere else and be aware of her moods and prices. Good place to meet fellow travelers!

Report Check-In

The pizzas are amazing, the beer was cold. The wine was average. The room I stayed at was simple but clean. The lady of the house was really friendly and helpful. Had a very pleasant stay with my friends.

Report Check-In

Didn’t felt welcome here. Absolutely overpriced.
For a night with 2 people at the parking lot 100000.
Shower and toilets are small but ok.
Whenever we asked her something she was bored from our questions.
Didn’t get a friendly welcome or prices because her nap is more important.
For a night ok. But nothing more

Report Check-In

150000/250000 single/double for a room, shared bathroom. 50k for bread/jam/coffee breakfast. Had mosquitoes in my room even though there are screens. A bit expensive for what you get.

Report Check-In

For solo travellers, the "low-cost" room costs 150k, which possibly makes it one of the cheapest options in town.
Everything nice and clean, overgrown vegetation as they're just reopening after the rainy season break.
Friendly owner had just arrived from Italy and let me stay even if she was planning to reopen only 3 days later.
Food and beer expensive, didn't try.

Report Check-In

They have 2 places for van/4*4. Access to bathroom (really clean). Pizzas are amazing, really. Rabi and Flavio are really nice and relax. For us it was a nice place to rest à little bit. 100000FGF per night for 2 persons and a 4x4.

Report Check-In

Very nice, camping still 50000. Restaurant seems to be a little bit overpriced but didnt try. there is auch cheaper option just around the corner. But a very nice and calm compound to relax a bit

Report Check-In

A very pleasant hotel where we were able to park our 7m20 long Mercedes 609. Rabi the owner is very kind and cooks wonderfully. We had a very nice time with him. Very clean toilets and showers. 50,000 FG per person. Location for the free truck.

Report Check-In

I don’t know if the owner has changed or why there are so many bad comments but we had a great time here! The woman in charge is very friendly and so is everyone else. You can easily walk into town or take one of the many motorbike taxis. Showers and toilets are clean. The only downside is that there is no shade. We didn’t try the restaurant but some other travellers did and they liked it. You can buy cold beer at the bar. We paid 5000 per person per night. Definitely would recommend!

Report Check-In

They offer camping with tent 50000 GF or room 250000 GF. Shower was ok, bathroom clean. I did not test the Restaurant.

Report Check-In

friendly welcome, clean showers and toilets, relatively quiet for a town, would stay again

Report Check-In

Camping costs GF 50'000 per person, the owner-woman likes to change her mind about the price, be prepared!
Clean shower and toilet with soap and toiletpaper.
Possible to fill the water tank.
It's a bit expensive but would come again.

Report Check-In

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The owner is extremely unpleasant and unwelcoming. She is drunk at 10 in the morning. At first we paid and connected to power, then she promptly disconnected it and we weren't able to connect again. She treats her staff like animals and her clients only slightly better. P.S. Didn't try the food, as we saw a tyre with human excrement in it where they wash the dishes

Report Check-In

Had an excellent stay here. camping was 50.000 (with clean toilet and shower) breakfast another 50.000. Food is everything selfmade staff is very friendly. I higjly recommend :-)

Report Check-In

Labé is a nice city, which is worthwile visiting. Looking for a place to camp you probably end up here. Shower and toilets are nice, though at the other side of the compound when you camp. This is the only positive thing we can mention.
In general we would rename the place to Hotel No-no, since service is low and prices are high (small pizza €7, beer €2). On almost every question we asked the answer was no; can we have some hot water (for making coffee): no, can you replace the toiletpaper: no, can we charge somewhere no, and so on. The second day she asked us when we were planning to leave... When other overlanders came, we had to share the key for toilet and shower, she did not give an extra key, neither did she open the other toilet and shower for them. B.t.w.: toilet and shower were never cleaned in the 3 days we were there.

Report Check-In

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! When we arrived in the evening, we arranged to plug into the electricity at an additional fee. The next morning, the owner promptly removed the power cord and even after asking nicely on several occasions, never managed to plug in again. When we left a massive argument ensued with her demanding payment of EU4 for a bottle of water that was not consumed. Beware, as she starts drinking at 10h00 in the morning and is known by the locals to be quite aggressive when drunk. Did not eat at the restaurant, as we found a tyre with human excrement in it where they wash the dishes.

Prices April 2018:

Huts 360.000 Gn (including breakfast)
Camping 1 tent 100.000 Gn
Pizza 70.000 Gn

We camp here for 3 nights, no shade. For 80% of the time there was no water and no electricity or light to charge mobiles. Even when there was electricity WIFI was no downloading anything at all, even if it appears on.
The owner, Tata, was not very nice with us we ask about the wifi and electricity twice in 2 days and second time she scream at us saying things like that WIFI is a extra bonus for clients.

Report Check-In

Friendly owners, nice place but pricey. 300 000 for a room. WiFi when there is electricity. Hot water. Didn’t ask for camping because I was exhausted and just paid for a room exceptionally, but camping definitely possible, lots of space. Good place but not cheap.

Report Check-In

nice place, much flat space, owner is friendly, there was no dog :-), food is good, but very expensive! They charged us 100 000 and we could use Toilet and shower. walking distance to the market

Report Check-In

We rented a Hut for two persons which cost 25€ the night including breakfast. Very pricy but the nice italian owner helped us repair our waterfilter and knows a lot about the waterfalls sourrounding Labé.

Report Check-In

didn't make it to this place coz of the bad roads in Guinea, but came in the morning and asked for a simple breakfast, was given 1/2 baguette, butter&jam and pot of tea and charged 50000 (7euro) which was a great rip off, stay away from this place

Report Check-In

Closed in rainy season. Next door hotel pacific is being renovated and let me camp in parking lot for free.

Report Check-In

Italian-Guinean run place in quiet location with friendly staff and exceptionally good pizza, camping on small lawn in front of restaurant
100.000FG/night (10,53€) for two people

Report Check-In

Good security. Shower and toilet and washing up facilities. No shade for camping but there is a sheltered terrace bar to sit and chat, read, write and drink in. Twenty minute walk to the market and the town centre. Unfortunately we had to leave this place before the night had really begun as the owner's dog attacked Max. We paid 50,000 Guinean Francs for our afternoon and evening stay, half of the GF 100,000 it would have cost for the night.
