Bureh Beach Surf Club | Established Campground

We didn't find any space at the surf club! There is space to stand about 100m away. Take the first road from Freetoow (bad dirt road) that leads to the beach. The property belongs to an expatriate American who has it managed by Philipp. We paid 150000 per vehicle without toilet and shower. After three days we left because the proximity of the locals was too much. It's actually a very nice place, but if you want to be on your own you probably have to draw the boundaries very consistently. We were often asked for money for the school.

We didn’t visit the place.
Messaged with them via WhatsApp.
They asked for €20/night. I thought it is a misunderstanding, since I read the report about 20000Le but they confirmed €20.
Asked if we have private shower and toilet for this price. Answer was: yes we have shower.
Well, we decided to stay somewhere else.

one of thé best places in SL to Just relax. amazing food. very friendly people. beautyful beach. mangroves to Walk or Kanu through around. small Island in Front for snorkeling. Surfing available. camping ans rooms for reasonable Price.

Just went there to ask for their up to date price as I couldn’t find it anywhere. The man told me it’s 200 LE for 1 night in a bungalow with an outside shared bathroom.

Surf lesson: 180 LE for 1 hour
Board rental: 60 LE

Very nice place for a beach break on the coast. The beach is really beautiful and clean. Perfect for swimming.
Access fee to the beach 10Le/pp
We parked our 4x4 directly on the Beach (100Le/night for 2 people - we slept in our car). Really Delicious seafood (between 100Le et 180Le). Possible to rent surfboard, quite good waves.
We also did the Banana Island trip with them but really bad experience so if you want to go to the Island, we suggest you to go directly to Kent.

Price for us was 80 leones (new currency) for 2 people in car. we couls park right on the beach in front of the restaurant. we didnt negociate. Bucket shower since the waterpump was broken. simple food available (fish&rice) for 150 le, a bit overpriced. guys are friendly stoners.

now the price is 50'000/night (1 tent, 2 people), which is 4,1 euro. food is good, place really quiet, nice beach (a bit dirty, as everywhere in the peninsula). recommended.

Awesome beach with local guys running the surf club. really friendly and willing to help with everything you need. We camped right on the beach with our car. In the village of Bureh you can get some basic items as well from some people selling some stuff on the beach (fruit, chips, eggs, bread etc.)

On some nights you can enjoy a bonfire on the beach. They keep the beach and facilities clean as a group. Toilets are basic, but adequate. Very easy to walk along the beach and visit the neighbouring restaurants if you're there for a longer period of time. Generator available on sight, but it doesn't run through the night. They offer rooms/cabins as well but I didn't get a chance to see them properly.

Prices for camping are negotiable and depend partly on the amount of nights you plan on staying. It doesn't hurt to say you'll be having a meal or two at their restaurant as well.

camping + bike 30000 Le, meals 60000, omelette 20000, basic shop 5 minutes walking to the near village, amazing beach. Stoned or not, these guys are really kind and cook very well, portions are huge!

The place is fine. Guys were all stoned though. Tried to cook us a dinner, but in the end fish wasn’t good, so they only served us fries... ablutions are so-so

Very chill paradise. Beautiful beach, cold beers, nice people. We paid 20,000Le pp to camp so not too expensive, all things in Africa are negotiable 😊

Absolutely stunning beach (5000 pp and 5000 per car entry fee). The Beach Club is a simple place, right on the beach, run by local youngsters and has a great vibe to it. Most of them are stoners though which means you sometimes have to ask things three or four times. Camping in my car right on the beach (40 000 pp/night), cold beer (10 0000 STAR beer), food is good but not very cheap. 60 000 for fish with rice or chips, 100 000 or more for lobster. They don’t have most food on their menu so you get what they have, not what you order. Overall a very relaxed place but with bigger potential and not very cheap. Things add up quickly. Bring all food from outside and cook if you want to safe money, the village only has some very simple shack shops with very basic items.

Also had a nice stay here for 40,000 per person. Not the best ablutions and most people were washing outside next to the well. I asked for a surfing lesson but somehow never got one... It's also possible to camp in the parking of the hotel next door and use the toilet/shower in one of the rooms for 100,000 for 2 people.

Prices increased a lot! For staying overnight and sleeping in the car, they wanted to charge us 40.000 Le per person. One Surfing hour per person would have been 100.000 Le... so not cheap at all anymore.
We decided not to stay here, so we went to hotel directly next to this spot, where we were allowed to stay the night for free and also could use one room of the hotel for a shower! Really nice...
