Seems to be the best place in this small volunteering / surfer town for overlanders. Big open space 10 meters from the beach and surrounded by bungalows, most of which look in poor condition and not in use. There is a toilet and shower block. All of the restaurants and bars in Busua are within a 3-4 minute walk.

Got up for toilet in the middle of the night and the doors had been locked, I guess to stop the beach wanderers from dirtying them. But very annoying as they know we are camping here. I tried again in the morning and they were still locked.

50 cedi per night for our Sprinter, 2 people

Right on the beach with pretty nice staff and a very nice manager (Steven). Rooms were very meh. Certainly nothing special and everything a bit damp and slimy because of the humidity in the air (although this is kind of typical for beach bungalows). Normal price 200 cedis for a room but they were ok with 150.

Nice place, directly at the beach. Clean showers and toilets. We payed 50 Cedis per night with a 4x4 and 2 people. There are good restaurants and shops nearby.

Place has a new management again, so the kitchen was closed and lights outside were not really working. However, it is probably one of the most beautiful places by the beach that we stayed in throughout our whole trip through Africa. And most importantly, price for a night was 150 cedi, which compared to the 500 a few hundred meters away at the Busua Beach resort, is basically free.

Electricity in the room was working, but there is no wifi (at least for now).

Apparently the new owner has some plans with the place, so I believe it will get even better.

Quite run down, the manager was new and it seemed she didnt know what to do. Asked for 100 cedis per night (2p in car) but easily accepted 50. Food available in the weekend, bar with cold beers.

20 cedi a night for truck, lodge pretty quiet during the week but great fun on weekend when owner Patricia turns up. Close to the other busy bars along the beach with plenty of expats around all week long. Great little town with friendly helpful locals.

Report Check-In

Wonderful people, Patricia the owner is an angle. Super good food on the weekends when they have the grill on. Directly at the beach, where you can surf and relax. 20 for camping, 60 for a hut with fan and net.

Very nice and relaxed place at the really wonderful Busua Beach. The "manager" at the gate is a little bit grumpy and stubborn as a mule, so we should pay 20 Cedi pppn. He was promising, that the wifi would work the next day- it did certainly not ! - So we paid 15 Cedi pppn. The Owner and his wife were much more friendly. The Place is very quiet at the week and at the weekend there are very much day-guests, but it stayed relaxed. at the WE they make a big barbecue and the food ( especially the chips ) is very good. If you park next to the chalet you may use electricity but they charge 10 Cedi extra per day.... so we don´t need it. there are some shops near and some very good restaurants too, So altogether - this is a really beautyful place to stay for more than one night !
