Description

Camping very close to the beautiful waterfall, no facilities but nice cleared area, Negotiate at the gate for the price, no security needed, ignore all further demands for money at the falls themselves, bit of a hassle in the beginning but still absolutely worthwhile!

Really great place and now no hassle at all (although a bit expensive). At the gate all the prices are advertised and there is no negotiation. 3kpp to enter, 500 for a camera (even a cell phone, but you only need to pay for one), 10k to camp. No facilities, but a nice, clean, super quiet, grassy spot. We had the place to ourselves and were able to walk down to the falls. Super peaceful. Also heard the chimps calling very close to our campsite after dark, but never actually saw them.

Great place! Official prices are still as listed in the latest comment below. We arrived when it was dark and left before 8am the next day so managed to negotiate 10,000 CFA for camping, entrance and camera for 2 people and one vehicle (official prices meant we’d have to pay 16,500 CFA). Water was gushing down the falls!!!

As discribe before entrance fees:
- 3.000 CFA / adult or kids > 10 years
- 500 CFA for cameras / camcorder / phone
- 10.000 CFA for camping
Brand new poster displaying all official prices. (e.g. 25.000 CFA for drone)

Great place to camp! We could drive to and camp at the Picknick area. Hard negotiations about the price at the gate...we managed to get 7.000 CFA for 2 people including entrance, photos and camping. Thousands of little flies and bugs seems to be around all year long...but apart from that absolutely worth the visit!

Beautiful place where we were camping. Good access to see Ekom Falls, friendly people. There is small restaurant nearby but was closed when we arrived. 3500 CFA for entrance( camping included).

Nice Place. We also visited the Falls and camped here. There are two Camping Spots: 1) Is a Parking Lot opposite the Bar at the Entrance and 2) Is a very nice Picknick-like Place a few Meters after the Bar. We stayed in 1) because 2) is only possible in the Dry Season. The Bar is also just 200 m away from the Stairs leading to the Falls. No direct views on Falls from both Campgroungs. 7.000 CFA for 2 Persons including Camping, Entrances and Photos. They wouldn't go down further even after hard Negotiation. There were thousand of Bees that were eating us alive, but they are seasonal probably.

Nice waterfall and a good place to spend the night. We paid 3000 each including entrance, camping and taking photos. Negotiate a bit hard and you make it, we placed the tent in one of the empty sitting houses so we where protected from the rain. The road to the waterfall is a easy dirty road, we ride it when it was raining but no problem with motorcycles and a 4x4

3000 cfa pp entrance and 500 for photo.
After hard dicuss ion they let us camp for free.
The bar there is overpriced so be careful. Beer cost 2x to 3x as much as usual.
waterfall is very nice and clean.

7000cfa camping in addition to 4500 fall entrance & 1500 community tax. No real facilities but pit toilet on way to falls. As previously mentioned was a bit of hassle to negotiate but well worth it. Make sure you get a receipt for camping if only hand written as we had to show at the barrier on the way out. Liza & Jason
