They hold big cats and other predators captive (see their website). This sort of thing should not be endorsed IN ANY WAY, especially by overlanders! You can find grassy lawns in lots of other camps...

Lovely grassed campsites. Beautifully maintained. Staff very friendly and super helpful. Ablutions clean and hot water with the biggest donkey I’ve ever seen. Washing facility for both dishes and laundry. Restaurant, bar & swimming pool with WiFi in this area. About 8km outside Etosha. R230/p/n. Bag of dry wood R50. Tel: 067333421

August 2022 220 ppn, November 320 ppn, we did not stay.

Report Check-In

Lawn still green and trees for shade, also for big trucks.
We really enjoyed this quiet place. Everything clean and good maintenance

Report Check-In

Easy booking, friendly staff, soft green lawn on camp sites, bathroom clean, all around a great camp to stay. Overlander trucks need to book their space as not all camp sites are accessible with a bigger truck. A definite bonus is the sound of hyena and lion. Price N$ 220.00 per person is a fair price . Thumbs up!

Report Check-In

Nice camping ground with a good number of sites on grass and with some trees. Lookout point over a neighboring waterhole. We were all alone on the campsite. Unfortunately the price has gone up (220N$/adult and 150N$/child from 4 years and older) so with our kids of 5 and 7 years old we had to pay 740N$ in total which is only 150 N$ less then we paid for Halali campsite inside Etosha.

Report Check-In

We revisited Eldorado for the first time in 10 years - it's expanded hugely but is still excellent. The original campsite is grass with mature shade trees and a block of 4 really good stone built ablutions plus a kitchen/laundry area.
The newer campsites seem to be grass with multiple additional ablution blocks (at least 2 being individual). Some of these newer sites border a new game viewing area with lit waterhole where giraffe etc can be seen from a raised platform and some have rooves for shade.
The predator viewing tours are still operating - that's another issue.
The staff all seem happy and welcoming - Gideon remembered us from last time!

Report Check-In

Perfect, perfect, perfect. All you need and more. Blown away. Grass , shade, hot showers, restaurant, game drive (wow).

Must stop!

Report Check-In

We slept here the last two nights and loved it!
Everything was very clean and the people were super friendly.
We also stayed once at the gondwana on the other side of the Road, we would always prefere eldorado over gondwana.
We will definetely come back.

Report Check-In

Very nice grassy camp with concrete furniture and braai stand. Shady tress and very green lawn. Ablution are fine and water is hot! Price is 150NAD pppn.
There are also rooms DBB available. The predator tour gives fantastic photo opportunities. They have leopard, lion, spotted and brown hyaena, caracal…also white rhino!!

Camping N$150pppn, nice grass campsite, braai/bbq area, electricity, shared bathroom and shower facility, kitchen sink facility, plenty of trees for shade and other roofed facility for camping. Dinner is done as a buffet N$250ppn and 3 course meal, definitely worth the money. very tasty and very fresh. There is a bar. Staff is wonderful and very friendly. It's s close to the Anderson Etosha Gate. I would 100% book here again.

Report Check-In

special camping offer now for 150 N$ p.P.
and dinner buffet 250 N$ p.P.

Report Check-In

very nice grassy campside with waterhole and shady trees

Report Check-In

200 per person now. Everything in order.

Report Check-In

All the same as below but camping is now 200 pppn.

Report Check-In

The campground in the park was booked, as was the next closest one, so we drove here. Campground was empty. Nice grassy spots, electricity, place to cook. $170 pppn. Food is expensive here. Biggest downside is they have cheetahs penned into cages, as well as rhinos and other animals for guests to see. Also has big signs saying photos and videos of animals is prohibited, kind of weird.

Report Check-In

Nice and clean place. (Black peoples work for so few money, whites owner can afford a lot of employees to keep the place clean) Close to the gate. Price for food is not cheap. Black Employees are kind.
I traveled on motorcycle... I ask for few ice to put in my camelbag of water before to leave ... the owner refused. I had to buy a complete bag. Not very kind.

Report Check-In

Camping ok. 170 pppn. Didn't like all those boards forbidden you to see for free the surroundings!! They charge 400 for a tour with animals like cheetah lions rhinos etc.. Those you can watch from the entrance but if you look for free you can be prosecute! Hahaha Better stay in Toshari Lodge, still close to Etosha and is super beautiful and peaceful place. Much more privacy and style for less price!!

Report Check-In

As mentioned before, nice lawn, restaurant and bar. Giant bathrooms in ablution block, 1x donkey + 1x hot 24/7. Game drives available, mornings or afternoons, N$300.
Sites are big, only rudimentary wind breakers, but all with sockets, light, braai, benches+tables, some trees for shading. Recommendable

Report Check-In

Perfect place outside Etosha. 150N$ pp for camping and 100N$ pp for caravans. Little but nice pool, bar (restaurant is closed), hot and cold water, ablutions in good conditions, amenities for washing dishes and laundry, pitches in green area and very quiet at night. Free WiFi available even in the campsites (signal is good in the pitches near restaurant). Friendly staff.

Report Check-In

150 pppn. grassy pitch.braai, electricity and light for every pitch. hot and clean water. wifi free in the restaurant. bar, restaurant and big pool. exactly 10 km from etosha's gate. friendly staff.
we loved it!!!

Report Check-In

Positives.
Nice enough pitch (if a little cramped), hot water showers and cheap fire wood.

Negatives.
The owners treat the workers with little/no respect.
The animals they have trapped are kept are basically there for canned hunting (if you read between the lines when listening to the owners speech).
Witnessed workers whip a dog with a cane for no good reason.

Wouldn’t stop here again if it was free!

Report Check-In

Just to clarify, this is a farm but it is meant to feed the wild cats so they will not hunt for the cattle in the surrounding villages. So this place has sheep and cows which the cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, wild dogs and lions can feed on. Although there are a lot of steenbok etc. in the park, the cats prefer the easier pray, thus why they first went to villages to hunt the cattle. Anyway, we were allowed to camp outside their normal campground and payed 100N$ pppn and had hot shower. all the camps are full in this time of year because a lot of European tourists are here, so take that into account. You can forget to camp inside the park in this time of year (without reservation that is).

Report Check-In

150pp per night camping. The fence is closed as safety because of the wild animals and you should open it yourselves to get to the reception. We decided not to stay the night here because we did not want to contribute to the hunting.

Report Check-In

It was very nicely everything. The owners are very friendly. Man can see on the area lions, Hyänen, to cheetahs, leopards, Karakal.
