Nice spacious campingspot with good view on the mountain. Basic ablutions. Pool & restaurant had a bit of a resort vibe. Price 495 for 2 people and car.

Report Check-In

Despite the jarring drive along the C35 to get to the similarly jarring turn off for the lodge, the venue itself is something of an oasis. Two pools, bar, restaurant await as well as chalets and tented campsites.

The campers site is a steering 500 m or so walk from the reception and amenities and is a real put off unless you're prepared to drive. Camp pitches themselves are spacious and generally feature a tree or two for shade. individual braai and sink but shared ablutions blocks.

The staff are friendly, as are the pet dog, parrot and meerkats.

Worth a stop (if you can stand the corrugations).

N$220 pppn+55 per vehicle

Gorgeous lodge with beautiful garden, 2 swimming pools, bar/restaurant and WiFi. campsite is a 5 minute walk away from the lodge, large pitches with bbq, firepit and washing up sink/work top. Donkey heated showers and flushing toilets are dotted around. Lots of the sites have big shady trees. Really enjoyed this campsite for relaxation at the lodge, we also went early at 7am to the white lady rock art and did a 2 hour hike before it got too hot. you must have a guide to do this and cost 250nb pp. You can also easily drive along the dry riverbed to look for the desert elephants from the campsite. 200ndpppn plus 1 off payment of 50nd for the vehicle

Report Check-In

We really enjoyed this beautiful place. Sunset spot. 2 swimming pools. Staff very friendly. Hot showers. Big places. Very very nice place.

Report Check-In

The campsite consists of large plots in the dry river bed, about 500 m from reception, bar, restaurant and pools. Very good Wi-Fi available from reception. Amazing stars! The campsite is very sandy so be careful not to get your 2x4 beached! Highly recommend.

Report Check-In

Up date to earlier post, late afternoon a lot more campers turned up, including several big rigs.

Report Check-In

As others have said, very large camping ground with large, sandy plots. In February one other camper. No elephants at this time of year. A bit sterile to our taste, pool area is a drive away, very chemical . 200$ pppn plus 50 for the car ( one time charge)

Report Check-In

- huge campsite with large individual plots and mostly lots of space in between
- overall, very nice setting in the vicinity of Ugab river bed
- busy or not probably depends on the season … at the time of our visit, there were hardly more than a handful of other parties scattered around and out of our sight … we could pick from three or four ablution blocks and would have had all just for ourselfs
- Pool and pool area: very nice, very green, very clean, very quiet … the only disadvantage: if you pick a campsite closer to the rivier, you may have to walk about one km … which is still worth it
- friendly and attentive staff
- Price: 200 pp/n + 50 for the vehicle (which is payable only for the first night

Report Check-In

Recommendable! A spacious campsite under large shade trees. All amenities are available, but no wifi.

Report Check-In

I agree, we felt very bad at the dirty swiming pool and we had a terrible windy evening BUT we forgot everything seing 15elephants in the morning at 8am. thanks to our neighboors. Emplacements n°5-8

Report Check-In

Current rates for camping: 180 per person per night and 50 for the car. Spots with electricity and private ablutions 250 per person per night.

Spacious campsite, most with nice shade. With fire pit and tap, which are nice. But overall not a very charming campsite. Lodge area has two pools (lots of insects) in the afternoon) and a bar, prices of the drinks are not too bad. But we didn't feel super comfortable in the resort area, we like campsites which are more quiet and with less people around. This is a busy area and people were not very sociable. Feels a bit like a resort in the desert, but some people might like that :-)

Report Check-In

As stated. Campsites are spacious- some have private ablusions, but those were already full. We spent a lovely afternoon by the lodge pool.

Facilities as stated, but WiFi requires separate vouchers starting from NAM$ 50 up to 30p.

Report Check-In

Nice place, but no privacy. Good maintenance, hot shower.
We paid NAD150 ppn + NAD50 for the car.

Report Check-In

Nice large and shaded campsites with shared ablusions & hot water.

Tented camps with own ablution & 2 x single beds.

2 x Tree top tented accommodations.,

Chalets & rooms available.

Restaurant, 2 x swimmingpools, bar, lookout.

Report Check-In

Beautiful and very large campsites. The 2 pools are very nice. We did not see any elephants.

Report Check-In

We paid N$ 410 for one night.
2 pax and a car

Report Check-In

What a surprise. Very recommendable. We loved the place. There is only one campsite with electricity and private ablution. Worth the extra cost.

Report Check-In

Ok place. Generally nice views of the MTN from many sites. Sites are generally open the evening winds that we experienced which preclude cooking outside so retreat to the lodge. Drove the circuit around the MTN about 130 km. Recommended if you have the time and vehicle. Saw the Elephants. Cell
Service non existent to briefly poor with MTC provider.

Report Check-In

A very popular place with families over the festive period, with accessible pools and a good bar. But it isn't a particularly private or peaceful place to stay, with probably about 50 big campsites spread around on a sandy area, and shared ablutions.

Report Check-In

Desert oasis!!! Plenty campsites to choose from each with fire-pit and tap! Open-air showers and they lit boilers every evening and morning. Pool and bar area is what makes this place special. Stunning pool(s), lush green grass and shaded areas where you can lounge the whole day. Beautiful views and sunset over the Brandberg. We went on a self-drive down the river and found a herd of desert elephants only 11km from the lodge. Great spot!

Report Check-In

beautiful big camping sites. A lot of space between your neighbors. Water and hot showers in morning and afternoon. Lovely swimming pool and garden. View at Brandberg.

Report Check-In

Very nice campsite on the Ugab river. Clean ablutions. Donkey-fired warm showers. Elephants came visiting. N$125pppn plus N$45 per vehicle

Report Check-In

As described - clean facilities and nice green oasis with pool.

Very slow MTC Signal. But therefore beautiful red mountains in the sunset light :-)

Report Check-In

fair prices for value:
for Camping 140N$ p.P. and 45N$ for the car! Very Well maintained even in Corona time (almost no clients!) with heated donkey showers, Pool area, ...worth to stay and support this Oasis!

Report Check-In

Specially the lodge area is really nice with gras around the swimming pool and nice sunbeds to relax on. Food and drinks available, there is a sundowner spot and tam animals walking around. The campsite is huge and spacious, ablutions are simple but if they heat up the donkey it's a nice and warm shower. There is a tap on each site but no place to do the dishes or laundry. Water is from a borehole so drinkable. No electricity at sites. We were lucky to see the elephants passing by! The managers from the camp can explain you how far you can drive in the Ugab riverbed and the road you can take to save the rhino camp.

Report Check-In

As said in the description. Beautiful surrounding.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite, quiet and clean. Only children over 13 years old payed.
We stayed 2 nights at the number 4 , enjoying the swimming pool and cold beer during the evening !

Report Check-In

We loved this campsite. The site number 5 has a wonderful view on the mountains! Its a very large campsite but we felt great. The restaurant area is very nice, with a very beautiful garden and 2 pools. Wifi is avalaible but you have to pay: 50N$ for 350 M, a bit expensive! You can do horse riding and walks to the white lady paintings.
They have a mechanic on site that is very nice. If you have a serious breakdown they may call the mechanic of Uis. Be careful, this guy doesnt seems to be truth worthy.

Report Check-In

Nice lodge, swimmingpool is a plus. We paid $300 for 2 persons. If you don't want the swimmingpool, I would Just go wildcamping in the area. The camping does not hold the elephants from coming to your car.. If you pass the reception and follow the tracks you drive into the river bed. Perfect easy offroad track. 4x4 needed but not difficult, until the River Rhino Camp. From here you van take the road to the Coast.

Report Check-In

Huge “bush style” campsite with plenty of shade. Basic open air brick toilet/shower with donkey for hot water. 500m+ walk to Lodge facilities (bar, restaurant, x2 pools). N$50 for bundle of firewood. No Braai grids supplied. A table/bench/sink on each site would be nice. Recommend driving the 4x4 farm road across the river up to Madisa Campsite (easy).

Report Check-In

Spacious campspots mostly onder a big three, Nice and clean openair ablutions, Nice swimmingpool. We payed 340N$ for two persons and the car!

Report Check-In

Nothing much to add, except to say the price is now N$170pppn, and WiFi is an additional cost (vouchers start from $50 for 300mb).

Also note there are no sinks, so bring your own basin for laundry/dishes. And little care is taken by staff lighting the donkey boiler, so if you want hot water you may need to light it yourself!

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite as described earlier. 265 Nam$ per night for 2 persons and one camper. WiFi available at reception for 50 Nam$ (300 mb) at decent speed.

Report Check-In

beautiful place in a riverbed. campsite is very nice with lot of shadows. you can use the very nice swimming pool at the lodge. amazing sunset view from there. staff is very friendly. we really enjoy that place.

Report Check-In

Very nice place... clean friendly and wild! The pool is super good! Kids did not have to pay

Report Check-In

nice camp ground (ca 13km from the white lady paintings) its no problem to go there without 4x4. (all the gravel roads are the same in namibia!)

Report Check-In

An absolute recommend, the campsite is close to the lodge, where you can use the pool, bar, WiFi ect. The campsite is like a bushcamp, nice shady places “into the wild”.

After looking the map we saw a small road crossing the dry river, direction “north” (Khorixas), if you prefer to take an other road out than in this is a Great option, the road requires 4x4 into the dessert....Great joy and views.

Report Check-In

no Power on site, but you can habe electricity for your fridge with an Extension through window on the parking lot of the lodge.

Report Check-In

Wonderful place!, like a bush camp! In the night we heard the lions and in the morning there were elephants. Hot shower and toilets. All clean. We paid 120 pppn.

Report Check-In

Lovely place. Price:N$110 pp and N$30 for car.
Big campingsites with watertap, braai but no electricity. Donkey shower.
Two small swimming pools, bar and restaurant. Nice garden.
There are elephants strolling around the camping and in the river.
Watch out where you pitch your tent, there is a lot of elephant droppings ;-)
When you drive up or down stream in the riverbed, you have a good chance to see Elephants. We did and saw 2 groups of 5.
We came from the Messum crater and there was not any signs of the camping when we arrived at Brandberg.
But with IOverlander map and gps on, you can see the tracks and follow it to the camping.

Report Check-In

beautiful place with lot of shady trees and wild elephants, often, not always !

Report Check-In

Beautiful large pitches under high, leafy trees at riverbed. Sandy terrain. Some distance from lodge with bar/restaurant.
NAD 270 (2 adults, camper).

Report Check-In

We paid $100 each and $30 for our vehicle

Report Check-In

Great campsite with large sites under big trees. Good ablutions. Our dog was no problem on the campsite but wasn't allowed in the garden/restaurant/bar because of the pet meerkat :)

Report Check-In

Campsites spread along a dry river with braai stands, wood fired showers, nice cactus garden and small pool at the lodge, 210N$/night (14,60€) for two people
