This spot is very close to Lake Powell, Arizona. You wind between Utah and Arizona upon entering this spot. It's only 1.3 miles off hwy 89. Lots of space for just about any size vehicle to park and turn around (minus a transport truck). 4x4 is not needed. I've seen one rock fire pit. When looking into this, it was noted as BLM. View is incredible, open plains with a stunning rock surrounding half of the area (see photos - excuse weather) 1 bar on AT&T. No accommodation, self-contained ideal. There is a sign saying no parking or camping within 300 ft of the BLM range improvement structure - there is plenty of space outside of it (see photos) As always, please take out whatever you bring in. Be a good person and leave no trace. We did notice some broken glass in a couple of areas offside of the parking.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

Great view of stud horse point and glen canyon overlooking lake Powell & beautiful sunsets!
Very easy to get into and easy out. Fire pits evenly dispersed throughout area.
It gets rather busy at dusk with day travelers looking for a place to pull off of hwy 89.
We’ve enjoyed some small exploration hikes around here with the pups. Although they have found some thorny areas and picked up a few hitchhikers in their paws.
No potable water, no amenities and AT&T cell service is one bar meh, but it’s free and it’s beautiful so there’s that.
Report Check-InWas Red Tagged by Ranger. can only set up 300' from corrals and there is not a spot to fit 300' from corrals. Called the number on tag & verified with ranger that this is NOT a free camping spot. It is not listed on the BLM website & sites like this one, Campendium, Freecampsites.net. etc. new to take this down as a camping area

Report Check-InVert quiet because at 1 mile from the main Road 89. Local came to do a fire camp at night but didn’t bother us. Surrounded by Mountains so very beautiful view.
Report Check-InGreat spot! Camped right next to the corral. Fun exploring the nearby rocks. Showers, laundry, etc just down the road.
Report Check-InAll good camping near Lake Powell. No view of the lake, but great views of the rocks and cliffs. Any size rig would fit, and the road was in very good condition. Limited to no AT&T service. Was here with about 7 others, very quiet.
Report Check-InIt's an old horse corral down a dirt trail. I could easily make it in my 2 wheel drive car, further trails toward the rock faces would need 4x4 and a shovel since the sand gets real soft.
Verizon has signal, 4g, but slow.
