The best wild camping spot we had in Uruguay.

nice spot. 2 personnes saw us in the evening, nobody complained. there's a sign "forbidden to camp" 500m before the end of the road, maybe it applies only to the area in front of the last house...

guard came to chase us away. Nobody even allowed at the laguna after 19:00 he said

Beautiful spot by the laguna. Enjoyed an amazing sunset over the laguna from our tent. We drove our motorbike all the way down the dirt track untill it stops at the laguna. On foot or with bicycle you could probably reach the small beach and camp there. We enjoyed our stay here. People were friendly and we didn't see anyone at night. Not possible with cars I think.

yes it's a nice and quiet place, like many others in uruguay ;-)

Quiet night. We campt on the dirt road cause the grass was to muddy. We saw no one. Just a lot of mosquitos

Great spot for relaxing, fishing, and kayaking. Smaller rigs can drive back towards the lake beyond the end of the dirt road for additional privacy and a great view. Many locals come here to fish and camp, even on weekdays. But spaces are far enough apart to still have privacy. Might be busier during peak season.

A beautiful and secluded spot right next to Laguna Negra. The water of the Laguna is not so nice, but the sunset is just stunning. Unfortunately some rubbish other campers left behind. Camping seems to be allowed and is for free. There are plenty of spots hidden in the trees right next to the shore. Big rigs can only park along the dirt road. Tents can be pitched up in the whole forest area.
