I camped underneath a run down building's awning for $5. Had a lovely swim in the warm water pool. The staff are welcoming. It's a place people come to party and splash about so you might have noisy neighbours for a bit but it's quiet late at night. The bathrooms are pretty gross but hey, you're an adventurer, right? The actual hot spring is 50m closer to the main road, and is very hot, so fenced off.

Quick follow-up. Woke up to them cleaning the pools. They are trying, and are getting better. Male ablutions are now working. People are paying to visit, not just coming randomly. They still have a ways to go to become a first class place, but as the last commenter said, they have been affected by the economy. I still think it's absolutely worth visiting if you can handle some roughness.

I agree with the last comment. Yes it's run down, but it's still decent especially for the price of camping. Make sure you have earplugs, the music across the street is loud!

Also there are several shops and restaurants serving sadza, chicken and beef.

Camping is $5 pppn but we paid $15 to stay in one of the chalets with it's own bathroom, price includes unlimited swimming in the hot spring. The main pool was the only one functioning at the time. Despite this it was hot, clean and peaceful with only a few other punters. Probably best to come not at the weekend to ensure this. Yes it's a little "run down" but remember there's an ongoing financial crisis for the past 20 years! If you like hot springs I'd say it's a must visit in Zim.

Absolutly run down.
Ablutions Gents are not working anymore.
Ablutions Ladys are used by the peoples around.
Camping 10$ p.P.

Loud music in the night.

Good Place to overnight and have a swimm in the hot pools. As already mentioned it’s run down. We are selfcontained so it’s no problem. US 10.- for 2 Pax and entrence.

We stayed here on the way to Bvumba Botanical Gardens (close to Mutare going from Great Zimbabwe). It’s more about huts than camping: we used electricity and showers from one of the houses and stayed in the rooftop tent. Reception was closed already (after 8 pm) but night guard let us stay and was helpful. Price 10 usd pppn but we said that at iOverlander everyone paid 5usd so he agreed to pay 10 bonds instead (great deal!). No restaurant or kitchen in that place. Close to the main road. Nothing special but ok for the price.

This place looks abandoned without intention of a second life. Anyway 3 pools of hot water. Camping for 5usd the tent. Friendly staff. Looks good and could be an awesome place, but again, no one is trying. Toilets are disgusting, showers are hot, lol. Town is like any other road town. People freeze every time you go for a beer or food. Recommended for the price.
