Nice campsite, but book a caravan site (the others are really small). Potable water. Ablutions ok, but showers almost stopped flowing if all three were in use simultaneosly.
Nice park, too, lots of elephnats. All loops can be driven pretty much in a one, long day.

Report Check-In

Good campsite in the main entrance
Hit showers

Report Check-In

We had booked a campsite. We have a pop top off our canopy. With the exception of 3 of the ~12 ‘campsites’ available we just wouldn’t have fitted. We only need 6m x 3m. Ie the sites are small. The cars van sites are bigger but you would want a big rig. We got lucky and got one of the larger campsites. MTN service fine here now. Otherwise a clean functional site. Water tap and electricity on all sites. The road is close by but not frequent traffic @ night.

Report Check-In

The campsite has apparently been renewed. Each place with water tap and electrical connection. The access road is suitable for BigRig, as are some of the sites. The trains, which thunder past even in the middle of the night, take some getting used to.

Report Check-In

Pretty full even in low season. They have caravan sites and tent sites. Tent sites are very, very small. Ablutions could do with a workover, considering this is a tourist attraction. Water is drinkable but not tasty.

Report Check-In

Can't really complain about the campsite or the facilities, ablutions are clean and nice kitchen with hot plates and washing up area. rather pricey but the park is what you there for so the campsite it alright.
don't forget your caravan Plug.
Tip, there is a microwave in the kitchen for the tented camp right next to the campsite.

Report Check-In

Good facilities. Recommend trying to book online as only just got in (were 3 vehicles though). Good campsite, busy.

Report Check-In

Camp Ground Addo
Very neat, clean and modern campsite walking distance to shop restaurant etc. a neat and clean ablution, fantastic shower

Report Check-In

Not that many spots compared to other parks so yeah, still pretty crowded even in low season. Because it feels quite "civilized" as a campsite people don't think there are monkeys around so they leave food and stuff laying around, but the vervet monkeys come and do a mess with it. Beware.

No additional comments needed... Internet (MTN) varies between 3G and slow and 4G 10MB/s (router on the roof of our van)

Report Check-In

Pretty crowded campsite. Should book in advance, even on low season. The campsite looks well maintained. Except the men's ablution at the tent sites was worn out. No place to hang your jacket in the toilet, broken wc-covers, broken paper holders, etc. Not what I expected in an Sanparks.
Train was no problem.
R515 for tent site with 2 adults and 2 children.

Report Check-In

Nice Campground. Can't complain about the railway as posted before. Roaring lions and barking Jackals are louder, which is wonderful. Daily service, clean ablutions.

Report Check-In

Typical SANP campsite, with decent ablutions, although a bit old. Huge spots, we fitted easily. With our pop top we had to book a caravan site, but nobody checks and we could have easily fitted on some of the cheaper tent sites.

Report Check-In

Nice gravel campsite with good ablution. Great park, many elephants.
Take the South Gate instead of the main gate, saves you a lot of time + when you come from PE area you can already drive for an hour through the parc

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsites
Has kitchen and bathrooms both clean
Beautiful restaurant and small store
Has a bird hide and a underground hide

Report Check-In

Busy campsite even out of season. Shop present open during the day (1900 hrs). Ablutions old and not very clean. Expensive campsite especially when taking the conservation fees are taken into account. The train is still passing regularly

Report Check-In

Was awesome to see the animals and practice my photography skills :)

Report Check-In

As per previous logs campsite good with great ablutions but the railway line does not quite fit in with being in the bush. Notwithstanding it is a great park and worth the visit. This is elephant country. Costs can be pricey depending on your residency. If non SA, then getting a Wild Card could be beneficial if you plan on visiting a number of parks.

Report Check-In

Campsite area for vehicles is very small, individual sites have 220V connections, some shade from trees but no grass, and there were no water taps at the sites that we could find (closest were in the communal kitchen or ablutions). As mentioned by others on this site locating a campsite so close to a busy railway line is plain stupid, especially in a big park with so much space like Addo. Both the restaurant and shop were closed for the three days we were there due to rioting/striking local farm workers intimidating restaurant and shop staff if they went to work. Overseas visitors booked into cabins and the like were in some cases arriving expecting to buy their food and supplies at the site but were being told to drive 40 kms and more to go and find shops outside the park. This big park needs to provide more info to visitors on game sightings each day, especially the possible whereabouts of predators such as lion. Gravel roads in park in fair condition for all vehicle types.

Report Check-In

sandy and small pitches. kitchen equipped. hot and clean showers.braai and garbage. no intimity.you can hear or see some animals! wild card accepted. 309 per site in october.

Report Check-In

If you like trains running past a few metres away from the camp day and night then this is for you. Not many but near enough to wake you every hour or so. Camp pitches very small but have good shade. Some pitches have the access track on back and front so little privacy. Ablutions very good. Given the camp is part of a massive park you have to wonder why the pitches are so small and next to a railway. The SANparks website is painfully slow and crashes if you want to book . The park entry process is cumbersome and bureaucratic.

Report Check-In

Relatively small tent sites on gravel. But nice bathrooms and showers. Communal kitchen with freezer, hot plates, dish area and instant hot water! Definitely make reservations any time of the year. Camping is limited!

Report Check-In

(best to book in advance). Nice sites, good ablution, free wifi at the restaurant. Sites are often fully booked. We were only able to stay because we could share a site with others. Price was 220 Rand per night for 2 persons and a car including electricity.
