Nice place, right below Observatorio Mamalluca | Wild Camping

Great place to stay after the visit of the observatory. It’s about 200m below, next to the road on a field. It’s very quiet at night and it wasn’t dirty. We recommend !

Lugar seguro, poco ruido de vecinos, sucio con botellas de cerveza, seguramente de los fines de semana, es necesario nivelar el vehículo para dormir.Asi todo la vista es un espectáculo.

Safe place, little noise from neighbors, dirty with beer bottles surely on weekends, it is necessary to level the vehicle to sleep, so the whole view is a spectacle.

As stated, bunch of trash, flat, good spot to set up a quick camp post-observatory tour. Personal preference... the San Pedro de Atacama stargazing tours were much better than this one.

This place not nice. We tried to camp here after visiting the observatory and left due to the place being covered in trash and broken glass, not to mention the dead dog.

we've asked at the observatory and the guard recommended this place, few meters from observatory. secure and with lots of stars. Difficult to find a place to take as bathroom :( . Tell the guard you'll stay there and he'll be watching you.

No need to ask to stay in the Parking (they would disagree most of times) whereas right below, you have tons of nice spots to stay for the night. The sky is amazing...
