We had the car serviced at Nissan in Knysna that was just 200 meters up the road. Off street parking, communal kitchen with fridge, free tea and coffee, swimming pool and free wifi. In the city center and a nice place to be for a few days. 300 rand for a double room with shared bathroom.

you can't camping but there is space for parking.
Now doubles are R600 per night. Dorms available as well. We didn’t stay here but it looked like a vibrant place.
