Quite a fun place to spend the night. Very colourful and the kitchen is nicely equipped. Was very busy with local labourers staying rather than travellers so didn’t quite have the backpacker vibe one would have liked. That said it was clean and tidy and organised. I’d stay again if I could chat with travellers in the evening. NO CAMPING ANYMORE.

No more camping, but communal dorm rooms. 4 person dorm for R200 a night. Nice staff. A bit noisy, bar environment with loud music etc.

Great place! Small lawn in the back where you can pitch a tent (150Rdpp). No free coffee/tea but the kitchen ist sick! Everything you need for sure. Apart from that, description is still accurate. Would definite recommend!

As others said, its a very nice place. Paid R180 for a dorm bed. The receptionist, Karina is very nice & helpful. Walking distance to the water & supermarket

Great place overall! Friendly staff that let me park my KTM 1190 right outside one of the dorm rooms that was behind a gate. Seemed very knowledgable about the entire area, and suggestions for the following day's stops let it be East or West... price was R180pp for a dorm, but we had it all to ourselves.

Excellent backpackers. Extra clean toilets, very friendly staff. The area around the fire is very nice. They have a small and clean swimming pool. Fantastic! I camped on the parking for 140R.

Nice little Backpackers in town. Gave us some great tips about the area. Clean and nice facilities. Can also get breakfast. Still 140 ZAR for camping and 180 ZAR for a dorm.

Cool Backpacker, everything as stated below. We camped in the Car Park and used alle the Facilities inside. No Gate but secure. Bar and Social Area with open Fire, good Music and relaxed Atmosphere every Evening. No own Alcohol as they are a licensed Bar. 100 ZAR pppn. Recommended.
A neighboring House next Street offers a good Laundry, 70 ZAR per Package (washing and drying).

Paid R75 to camp on a nice grassy spot in the yard behind the hostel. Sheltered from the wind, nice spot, easy access to bathrooms, pool, communal kitchen, living area. Good free wifi, free coffee & tea 24/7. Great breakfast (extra charge). They let me park my motorcycle on the side of the hostel on the walkway out of view of everyone, with easy access to it from the tent.

AMAZING!!! Lovely owner and staff. Clean rooms and restrooms. Big kitchen, fully equipped. Bar, fireplace, swimming pool. Dorms, double rooms and camping. We staid and work there for four months. Struissbai is a wonderful and quiet town that during Christmas and Easter gets crazy, but in a fun way!!! Awesome experience.....never forget!!!

Backpackers place that let us camp on their grass. Communal kitchen with fridge, free tea and coffee, free wifi, bar, swimming pool and nice toilet and shower facilities. Nice and cozy place with a fire in the evening that has thought about the small details like spare toilet paper so guest can easily find it and enough clean dish towels so people actually clean and dries their dishes.
