AMAZING SPOT ! Really one of our favourite in Africa. We were there in dry season, the salted lake was all dry, we could drive on it. Such an insane feeling to be all alone !

We’ve spent the night there, close to the bush just in case it would rain during the night. Very windy but fresh at night.

It’s worth it to drive the 10km track ! For us the sand was very easy, no 4x4 needed.
Really recommend coming there :)

Awesome location for Bush camp.
came in for night stop, ended spending 2 nights!
there was still water in the pan, thus sunset was a real pleasure.
strangely : No mostiquoes!
Sandy track to access is really not bad and not soft.
Maybe due to this year heavy rains?
with a 4x4, the bushes aren't too much scratching the car body .
Orange cell phone network !

What a great wild camp site with a view! The pan had water in it, so we basically had a lake view site all to ourselves! A farmer drove around in the evening and our fresh tracks were obvious, but he didn‘t care and never came by. This was one of my favorite wild camp sites to date. However, this time of year (early January) the track was narrow thanks to the bushes, and we definitely have a few scratch souvenirs in our paint. This time of year it is not big-rig friendly and should be avoided if you really care about your paint.

Very sandy access dirt road. No dry pan (or salar) but really nice lake during this rainy season.
Plenty nice bivouac spots, very few wildlife only a couple of white storkes and african ibis.
Might be some hyienas hululah during the night, but we didn't see them.

TUrn off road is marked by two stone cairns, about 13km after the vet fence ( not very thorough check ). Follow sand track up for about 10km to reach edge of small pan. PLenty of opportunities to bushcamp here but of course no facilities. Very peaceful and quiet, no people around but visited by a herd of thirsty cows.
