South Africa
We arrived in the dark and left in the dark, but what we saw of it looked like a nice place. Campsites with braai area, water and your own toilet and shower block with hot water. There was also a place to do dishes. They had a bar and restaurant too, and a swimming pool?? 200 rand

Most likely my 20th time camping at Pafuri Rivercamp & not for 1 night stopovers. Love northern Kruger and this is homebase for 10 days at a time. Love the surroundings, camping under massive Baobab with lots of birds during the day & Thicktail Bushbabies keeping comany at night. Rates are quite acceptable with good ablution facilities.
Report Check-InWow, is all we can say. If there was an award for best campsite in Southern Africa this campsite would get first prize. We have stayed in 30 different campgrounds in last 6 weeks and this is the best one to date.
Kobis has really made a terrific campground that sets the bar high. Each site is very private and well cared for with their own ablutions and peaceful sitting areas. There are only 6 sites plus a couple of chalets for guests. Showers have donkey heaters and there is a swimming pool, hiking trails, bar, restaurant, store and lapa to round out the facility.
Would highly recommend you prebook if possible. You won’t regret it.
Report Check-In5 places under trees, idyllic at a river next to rural area. The owner was not there, everything seemed a little bit run down. They wanted 400,-R two people first, we paid 250.-R with wood. 15 minutes to drive from the main road on a small, bumpy path.
No connection with MTN.
Nice camp with close-proximity parking in wooded area with great rustic ablutions. The 4x4 camp spots are no ‘on’ the river, but slightly set back. Tented camp tents for hire take up the river front area, but it’s all lovely. There’s no electricity but the place is lit with wonderful old hurricane lamps, which gives a perfect atmosphere. There’s a pool at the HQ and a rustic bar, all run on solar. Martin, the manager, is a wonderful character and we enjoyed having a drink with him. Overall, a great place for a night or two at the very north end of Kruger.
PLEASE NOTE: Tracks4Africa thinks there’s a road which doesn’t exist and it will try to tell you to turn off before you should! Drive all the way to the Kruger park gate and then take the track which runs along the outside of the Kruger fence. There are signs.
