fantastic camp with a Swiss owner (Josef) and you will find Swiss standard.
everything is working, the pool is cleaner than most of them in Europe and the staff is the best I have seen in Africa.
They also have a safari company (200 usd for a full day game drive in Mikumi NP, this is the price for the car (max 6 persons) the guide and fuel. Entrance fee is 30USD pP.
so it's really reasonable and Mikumi is a wonderful NP.

Report Check-In

Nice camp with wonderful swiming pool and bar. Very clean ablutions with hot water. Power at the pitch and Wi-Fi. 10 $pppn.

Report Check-In

Nice place, super friendly and helpful staff, great pool, high quality food and drinks at the restaurant, good sheltered area at the campsite, and cheap since they do not charge for the kids.

Report Check-In

Nice place, it’s relaxing. We paid 10$ ppn for campsite

Report Check-In

A little noisy with all of the lorries going through but a nice site overall. Decent bar and restaurant, but the ablutions were... okay. Good for a stopover if camping

Report Check-In

Great lodge with great food and great pool. Very pleasant stay!
Josef is a really great host!

Report Check-In

Large and busy lodge with upper level infrastructure (restaurant, bar, pool, …). Campsite with lots of shaddow but without grass. Ablutions good and partly renovated. Recommended.

Report Check-In

Very nice, the owner is a Swiss man and the staff is very friendly. Nice clean pool. Food also very good

Report Check-In

Very neat and lovely swimming pool and restaurant. Staff is great. Paid $70 for 2 people B&B. Wifi, nice hot shower, safe parking inside. Really enjoyed staying here and nice midway stop

Report Check-In

Clean pool and showers.
Very delicious food in the nice restaurant.
The whole stuff is very friendly and helpful.
We can highly recommend this place.

Report Check-In

Jst stopped for a coffe on the way to dar
place looks nice but yes close to the road might be noisy to camp but otherwise really nice place!

Report Check-In

Okish only for one night. $10/pppn. Though we wish we’d driven forward to one of the many campsites nearer the park border and more in the bush! So, do yourself a favor and go forward! This place is still in the village=noise from humans. The food was awful!! I.e. There were frozen peas in the veggie pizza... Service was dull and ”fake-friendly”. Good pool and wifi. But certainly would not stay here again. We’d go to one of the bush campsites further down the road!

Report Check-In

In Mikumi, Tanzania, near the wildlife-rich Mikumi National Park, the Swiss "Josef from Muotathal" has built a lodge with a campsite.  The camp site corresponds to European standards with spacious toilets and showers, electricity on site, fireplace and seating.  If you don't want to camp, you can stay in pretty bungalows.  In the center of the property is a large, clean swimming pool. In the spacious restaurant, they serve good meals, also good pizzas.

Report Check-In

Decent campsite with Gazebos, WiFi and electrical sockets. The bathrooms were a bit run down, but had hot water. Men's showers had better pressure and water temperature. Sinks for washing dishes etc. Lovely pool available to campers. Food and drinks available. This is not a wilderness camp, as it is located in the village, so quite noisy! Close Proximity to Mikumi NP gate which is quite convenient. Laundry is also available for 1000tsh a piece.Friendly owner on site.

Report Check-In

Spacious campsite close to Mikumi NP. We had power at our campsite. Hot showers in the men's washroom. Good place to do the dishes or laundry. Big swimming pool and nice sunbeds. Friendly manager and staff. Lots of musqito's.

Report Check-In

Agreed with below, high standards campsite with big pool and fast WiFi. $10 pppn, can pay in USD.

Report Check-In

We agree with all the match, it is worth here to stay. „Rösti“ are the best! Necessarily try it!

Report Check-In

Really kind, friendly staff. Clean bathrooms, hot water. Beautiful big campsite. Swimming pool. Good music in bar. Cold beer :) A really refreshing stop after wildcamping and no showers for a few days.

Perfect stay! Camping 10 $ pp. Western standard. Clean. Good restaurant. Free WiFi. Playground. Nice Pool. Best option for a stop- over or longer.

Report Check-In

Agree with all previous comments. Excellent camping spot. A must to visit if you are in the area. Food fantastic, good value for money

Report Check-In

Really nice place, camping is under trees for tents, some bigger areas for trucks with some shade. There is a little pavilion with tables & electric next to the fire pit area. Bathrooms are nice, sinks for dishes also has electrical outlets. Pool is awesome, restaurant is good (pizza was good to be honest, not some frozen pizza), beer is reasonable price, staff are very friendly. Wifi works well even in the camping area. These are perks you get for the added expense of $10pppn for camping.

Report Check-In

Great place! Amazing WiFi, great pool and ablutions - it’s like being in Europe at a campsite, so depends why your looking for. But for decent shower, good wifi and some r&r this is the place! We paid $10 pppn and it’s a very fair price.

Report Check-In

This is an excellent place to camp. Very quiet with great ablutions and an incredible swimming pool to use. Food in the restaurant was good too. Cost $10 US per person per night. The village is a great place to walk through, full of action and interesting tings to look at.

Report Check-In

Very clean, very friendly, very good food, free internet, large swimming pool, large shelter on campsite. Josef is originaly car mechanic. 10 $pppn

Report Check-In

If you are looking for a small cozy campsite with a personal feel and unique touches, or the feeling of the African wilderness - this is NOT the place for you.
If you are looking for a very well run, clean and organised family-friendly resort campsite with all the facilities you're ever likely to need at a reasonable price - THIS IS IT.
US$10pppn.

Report Check-In

Very nice place with a cristal clear pool and clean/new facilities. The owner Josef from Swiss was really welcoming and nice. We didn’t try the restaurant but we heard from other travelers that the food was really good. No problem filling up our water tanks! 10$ pppn.

Report Check-In

Camping is in the back, so fairly quiet with not much road noise. Nothing special to look at, but the amenities made it a wonderful stopover to get some work done. They have just completed a new ablution block for the women campers. Very nice and lots of room. Good water pressure, hot water in both ablutions. Large sinks outside for dishes/laundry. Access to electricity. Owner trying to make more camper friendly, thus increasing WiFi reach (with iPad we got WiFi in camp and it was good enough to stream a YouTube video). WiFi is free! We were able to update our website and upload pictures via their WiFi.
Staff very nice and accommodating. They called us a tuk tuk to go into the market for restocking of fruit/veg/eggs. Very easy and quick.
Pool is beautifully clean and clear and available for campers.

Report Check-In

Warm welcome to camp and greeted with fresh fruit juice.
The bar and pool looked good but we stayed in our van at the campsite. Clean toilets and hot showers. No bells and whistles for the campsite but lovely bird life.

Report Check-In

Good for a one night stop over. Friendly staff, great pool and all the amenities. Located off the main road but camp site well situated at the back.

Report Check-In

As written below. The campsite don't have atmosphere but is silent. Restaurant and pool are very nice, ablutions are clean.
We pay 10$ or 21500 TSH pppn.
A good place to stay for more than one night to relax.

Report Check-In

As mentioned camping area does not have much character, but the lodge is conveniently located close to Mikumi National Park.

Report Check-In

As written below, great pool, nice staff. 10$ ppn (over ten years.)

Report Check-In

Campsite is in the back and actually not so nice. Mamy pitches too low for pop up roof or roof tent. Ablutions are very clean with really hot water! Facitities at the lodge are really nice. Internet is slow.

Report Check-In

Nice place, clean ablutions with hot water, a big and clean pool, a good restaurant. The employees are friendly and qualifizierte.

Report Check-In

As per previous comments, i paid 7 usd one person with car, good internet

Report Check-In

Good place for a stop over, camping right at the back but still a bit noisy from road at night, good ablutions with hot shower, nice bar and pool, didn't try restaurant, $8 pppn, this place was a pleasant surprise

Report Check-In

As stated earlier, camping area is at the rear of the property away from the road. Good clean ablutions. Electricity in a covered seating area near campsites. Good wifi at reception area but not at campsites. Paid $7 per night to tent camp with motorcycle.

Report Check-In

Indeed great stop-over. We paid TZS 14,000 pppn

Report Check-In

Nice restaurants, clean toilets, good stop-over place

Report Check-In

Campsite in the back of the property (as far away from the road as possible). Toilet and shower block ok, but they had some problems with the water supply when we were there. Restaurant, power and no internet. Ok place to stop for the night as we were driving north on A 7.
