Indeed the best place to stay. Very nice owners (Marvin a d Nanager Shawn). The place had see better times but everything works and they do their best to keeo ir running. Hot showers, power at the site, clean, refreshing pool, grass to camp on, lots of shade, great view. US$ 15ppn.
We would stay here again.
This resort is quite run down but has a nice location on the lake and there is work going on to improve it. Having said that we were very happy staying here for 2 nights, a nice grassy pitch on the lake which was lovely after weeks in the African dust. Electricity, bbq, basic and not very clean ablutions but plenty of hot running water at all times. Washing machine available for laundry or good space to do your own. Good econet signal if needed to catch up with people or to do forward trip planning and if required wifi available for 5USD. Cost 15 usd pppn. We saw elephants across the lake, hippos and cross. Very nice and friendly team.
Report Check-InCamped one night on the lakefront for USD15.00 pppn. Power at site and water and wash up area behind the ablutions. We were the only visitors. Phone signal not too bad considering location.
Report Check-InWe went here for fuel (still marked on T4A) and lunch, but they don't do the fuel anymore. You have to go to Binga for that when going east. There is no restaurant, only camping and chalets. We ate (our own) lunch on their property near the lake. Nice view, seems like a nice place to stay.
Report Check-InDidn't stay here, but visited to refuel from the Total fuel pumps.
Report Check-InYou can still pay in Bond here. They convert USD to Bond 1:1 so you should pay in Bond!WiFi available for 5 Bond. Boat costs 40 Bond + fuel per hour. They offer a cheap laundry service for 10 Bonds per bag. All in all this place is very good for one or two days max.
Report Check-InEverything like described, just added photos.
Only one site directly at the lake.
The entrance to this site is immediately before the barrier for the Kariba Ferry terminal. The sign actually says Mlibizi Zambezi Resort, not Mlibizi Chalets. From here it looks pretty rough, but don’t be put off. Once inside you’ll find some lovely shady/grassy pitches set in tropical gardens on the lake. Ablutions are looking rather old, but are clean and functional. Pool also looks nice and clean. Very peaceful spot.
US$10 pppn.
