For 17$ pPpN that is much much overpriced! You get nothing for your money, it is all run down and not working! WIFI is also not working.
Much better to go to Gwango Heritage Resort: a lovely place for only 10$ just in front of the park entrance gate!

Report Check-In

it is cheaper to camp inside the NP!
foreigners 1 day : 15$ pp and 10$ the car = 40$.
foreigners 2 days : 8$ pp + 3 $ the car + 17$pp to camp at main camp, robins camp or sinamatella (the 3 cheapest, otherwise 29$ pp or 50$pp) = 53$
we asked for the chalets, it is 50$ for 2 people per night.
new ablutions block.
from 6 am to 6 pm.
very nice park with lions, leopards, lots of ellies, kudus, warthdogs, giraffes...

There is a fuel station at Hwange main camp now. Very useful

Still same price - $53 for SADC per night, $57 for Int.
Not much to look at but relatively pleasant setting with free firewood.
Recently refurbished, everything looks nice but nothing works, no running water at night, no WiFi.

Report Check-In

57 usd for one night on camp incl park fees 2 adults. kids under 6 free.
shop with basic stuff, restaurant available

Report Check-In

Huge campsite, which was covered in ants nests, and overpriced at $17pppn so we stayed in a 2 person chalet for $40 instead. Friendly staff gave us 2 wifi passwords, though reception was poor so we didn't actually manage to connect. There was ok data reception for Econet. we drove out through the park, pleasant drive but very busy so we didn't see much game, just 2 elephants, hippo, crocodile, zebra, impala giraffe. There were impala in the camp when we arrived. They are renovating the ablutions so they should be nice when complete.

Report Check-In

The ablutions are renovated! They are repainted and have new showers!

Report Check-In

Main camp is closed for camping, only Kennedy and ngweshla are open but beware of there are other campers, the campsite is made private. So call in advance to main camp before driving up here.

Report Check-In

Very rundown, 30$ for big rigs for 5 days not 10$. Staff very friendly ask for pass word for Wi-Fi they will give you, also good econet signal

Report Check-In

quick update on fees as we were quite confused:
Entry fee for day visitor: $20
Entry fee if you stay at Zimparks accommodation: $10 (in theory per night, hence includes the two days...)
Entry fee if you stay at private camp/lodge: $20 (e.g. Robin's camp)
Camping fee at Main Camp / Shinamatella: $17
Camping fee at Picnic Sites: $29 (e.g. Masuma dam, which was great)
Camping fee at Robin's Camp: $20
Car fee (for duration of stay): $10

big grassy campground! toiletts and showers very clean, even we are the only visitors! nice restaurant and very nice staff!

Report Check-In

Large open grassy site with (mostly broken) braai stands. Grass doesn’t seem to have been mown for a little while though! Ablutions fairly run down, but the first one you reach is the best - still in pretty good shape and kept clean. Hot water from a donkey; electric point available at the ablution block. Look out for spring hares at night :-)
Reasonable restaurant/bar on site, plus a small shop (check the expiry date on goods before purchase!).
Camping price is high at US$17 pppn + park fees.

Park fees are US$10pppn when staying in the park (otherwise $20 per person per day!). Plus $10 per vehicle for up to five consecutive days.

Note that they don’t tell you but it is actually possible to camp at any of the picnic sites or viewing platforms in the National Park, just ask! Most, if not all, have flushing toilets and many also have showers. Generally priced at $23pppn for the unattended platforms and $29pppn at the attended picnic sites - plus park fees of course. Expensive, but might be a better option if you want to stay right inside the park. We stayed at the Makwa Platform and had eles come to drink at night.

Report Check-In

Campsite is ok. First ablution block looks like it has been renovated a couple years ago. Hot showers also in the early morning.

Report Check-In

Campground at main park entry site. Looks like it has been refurbished. $17 per adult for camping plus $ 10 park entry fee when camping,
