Beautiful campsite looking out over Matopos.

We had a fantastic time at the FarmHouse ! The campsite view is incredible, sunset on boulders and a bond fire every night we’re awesome. We did the Paintings walk with Kerry it was very interesting , and the animal feeding with Andre was quite an experience. Thank you again to both of you for making our stay such a nice one.

Lovely campground in the wild with a stunning view into an enchanting landscape. We had wildebiest, zebras and giraffes close to our vehicle at night. The farmhouse with a bar is over a kilometer away and campers may join meals if other lodge guest are there. At 20 USD ppn not cheap but probably still be the best overall package you can get in the area.

What a beautiful place! Friendly hosts, beautiful view from campsite, animals around. Did a rhino walk, which was a great experience. Highly recommended! Thanks.

Fantastic campground, all as said before. Just to add, limited cell on Econet, data limited wifi codes available at the main reception. Highly recommend guided hike with Kerry to rock paintings and caves with relics on site $5pp, she is super knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time at the campground more than in the National Park!

Loved this campsite and game park! campsite 7 and 8 have amazing views and we were visited in camp by wildebeest, giraffe, zebra and had kudu below us at the watering hole. Gorgeous ablutions, especially the outside shower if the campsite is not busy! Big firepit and drum bbqs, plenty of wood provided. Fantastic hiking around the park, stunning scenery and plenty of rocky hills to climb, including one by the camp for sundowners. Managed by the really lovely and friendly Kerry and Andre, lodge has a bar and restaurant and a swimming pool. Stayed 3 nights and would have stayed longer but there is more of Zim to explore! We did also go into the National Park and visited Rhodes grave and the caves, this was pretty spectacular and we enjoyed it. Included in the price is also entry ro the game park which to be honest is rather disappointing, we really didn't see anything although there r rhinos there, but the recreation side was well worth it! Camping is 15USD pppn.

Nice camping with an amazing view, chose campsite 7 or 8 for an amazing sunrise! We did the animals feeding with Andre and it was an amazing experience. Highly recommend however it's a bit expensive.

Report Check-In

Nothing to add. Wonderfull. Just a few more pictures. Great sunrise, lots of animals, hikes to heaven.

Report Check-In

Really nice campsite with beautiful views. Very friendly managing couple who checked regularly at the campsite if everything is ok. Hiking and mountainbiking are possible on their own premises (in the NP only hiking with a guide).

Report Check-In

As previously described, we paid 15 USD PPPN. Very nice, bring your own provisions-restaurant is 1.9km from the beautiful camp site.

Absolutely amazing!!
Breathtaking view campsite, up on the rocks, overlooking a beautiful park where you can make walks or bike ride (they rent bikes) and come across gnous, giraffes, zebras or pumbas, all part of the farm!
One of the most beautiful places I have seen in all our trip through 5 countries of Africa!
The managing couple Kerry and Andre were extremely generous, helpful, and so welcoming!
The restaurant is very nice. All facilities are very good and clean, with drinkable water!
There is even a natural pool up on the rocks, and prehistoric paintings on the property, which Kerry can guide you to since she’s a professional guide!!
All you need to see in Matopo is at the Farmhouse!
Don’t miss the hike behind chalet #4 at sunset to get the best view of Matopos Natural Park and the hanging rocks.
We came for one night, stayed 3, and wished we had stayed much longer!

Since a year the camp site is run by a the friendly Andre and Kerry. The place is in perfect condition including the nice pool. The days the is more wildlife to see in their game farm than in the neighbouring Matopo NP.

Report Check-In

amazing view at each campsite.
But no easy to go there with a vehicule high 3.30m (low branches)

Report Check-In

All as said before. Wonderful place! Price is still 15 USD ppn which was the most expensive campsite we had in Zimbabwe outside a national park. But at least it has views and hot showers. Nice walks around where you can have very close encounters with zebra, giraffe and antelopes but I wouldn't recommend to hike outside the car tracks as there were ticks everywhere at the tip of the grass. Be careful as they can give you African Tick Disease, no joke... Internet network with Econet works well or not at all depending on the wind I guess... 😆

Report Check-In

It is a wonderful place with a very good view. The Braai was every day refilled with firewood.

This campsite has one of the best views in Zimbabwe. Very friendly owners with a passion for camping. Showers are basic but functioning. They cater for groups of school children, so can be a bit noisy. When we were there about 10 children camped, but they caused no disturbance. Stayed 2 nights instead of 1. Stargazing here is great

Report Check-In

Beautiful place to stay with clean ablution block and a great shelter for bad weather. The view from the campground is stunning. Michelle and Garry are very friendly and helpful managers. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We have made many walks through the beautiful area and have never been so close to the animals (giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, warthogs, etc.) We highly recommend this place.
