Description
The embassy was a bit tricky to find and is located near the hospital. It is run by a lovely family and the husband speaks English. A one-month single entry visa costs 40.000CFA (61€), can be picked up the following day and you state the approximate date of entry but it is supposedly valid from any date of entry. To be able to apply you need to become a Togolese resident and their son usually sorts that out for you. Costs are 12.500CFA per person (19€). It might be a bit cheaper to organize yourself at a police office. Apart from that you need two passport photos, passport copy and yellow fever certificate copy as well as one filled-out application form.

We tried hard for two days to get our visa here... did not succeed. They refuse to provide visa if you are not a resident of Togo.

Report Check-InBe careful: the easy procedure for Congo RDC visa is over in Lomé. When we were there they told us it was pretty much impossible to get a visa here. It would take 3 weeks to get an answer, requires invitation etc and even then they said it is most probable it will be refused. They were forced go stop their little business by Kinshasa. Report Check-InThey no longer issue visa here for tourists unless they have a letter of invitation notarized by Kinshasa.
Report Check-InWent there today and was told firstly that it would take a month for a visa, then he said a week. I explained that I needed it quicker as I had too move on and suddenly he say "meet me at a hotel in town in one hour" and with no need for application form, photo or anything. I did supply the other photocopies required. So he meets outside as I drive up, me gives me my passport with visa inside and a receipt for 60,000 CFA and ask me what date I want to enter, and writes it in on the spot. I did not even get out of the car. One month visa done in an hour "express service" I think they just felt sorry for me and showed respect to an "old man" at any rate a great outcome for me.
Report Check-InManaged to get a visa although not really sure how. We visited the embassy and gave them a filled in application plus some copies of yellow fever and our togo visa. They sent this off to Kinshasa and we returned a week later. They didn't take any money or our passports. When we returned they asked us to come back the next day which we did and then gave them 40000cfa and our passports. They issued a month long visa valid from our chosen date within an hour at that point.
