Decent place for an overnight stop - camping on lawn as described (we found it clean and vomit free though!). Use of the pool and small gym plus buffet breakfast included. Price 45USH pp. Cold showers over at the pool. Pretty noisy at night with a nearby club and security doing the rounds so not a place for tranquility but we'd say best option in Hoima if overnighting to/from murchison. The cultural lodge wanted $20pp and would only go down to $15. Wifi was good and worked reasonably well at the campsite.
Report Check-InWe stayed one night here on our way to masindi from fort portal. Took 4.5 hours. Kontiki gives you a nice impression as you drive in except for the bomb check on our car. The guard used a device to check for bombs. Didn't know I was in a dangerous area.
We are the only tourists here. The rest are employees working in the area and I believe there is a conference for doctors held here today. There isn't a proper camping area. Just an area of grass that they use for campers. It is situated next to the restaurant which means the staff had music playing until 02:30 in the night and arrived at 05:15 to prepare breakfast. Needless to say we did not get a good night sleep. The camping area is dirty with litter and fresh vomit! Yes disgusting! They asked for 45,000 ush pppn. We negotiated down to 30,000 pppn which included a buffet breakfast. showers are far from the tents at the pool with cold water only although the receptionist said there was warm water. The place has potential for the grounds are very nice. Breakfast was good.
Nice Place to stay! For Camping they wanted first 90 000 UGX, than we could stay for 70 000 including breakfast.
Report Check-InLarge hotel that allows camping in the garden behind the bar/breakfast area. You the ablutions of the swimmingpool change rooms, only cold water. They will give you a room key for hot shower if you ask.
Camping us UGX45.000 with breakfast for one, additional person UGX 15.000 for breakfast, so in total UGX60.000 for two.
