Phoned today to make a reservation, park closed until the 8th June for renovation.
Report Check-InNo longer has onsite bathroom or showers. You can use restroom in the fairground office during the day or pay $7.50 per day to shower and use gym facilities at next door recreation center. Rec center is very nice. About two mile walk to downtown. Easy Animas river trail access by rec center and watch the train go by.

Report Check-InGreat place to stay if you want to see the city of Durango. Located in town with lots of services nearby (laundry, Walgreens, restaurants within walking distance) and immediate access to bike trails all over town. There are only 6 spaces and it's in a parking lot in the fairgrounds (northeast side of the facility, just north of horse arena). Price is $25 per night with noon check-in and 11 am check-out time. Water and electricity is included, but there is no dump station (there is a dump station at Giant Gas Station 20453 HWY 160 close by). Office is open m-f 8-5 and number for reservations is 970-382-6468.
