Description

Great place to beak the journey between San Carlos/CR border and the north (Managua etc). A Baleario with restaurant and accommodation. We asked if we could camp the night and they agreed. In the knowledge that we would eat and have a drink they did not charge us other than C$40pp for using the pools. Children’s play area and pool and rabbits around (so not sure they would allow pets) The location is set back from the road, so quiet, secure (guard), everyone very friendly and the pools a refreshing break. Very clean. Excellent food. Beer cheap. The owner gave us a key to one of the rooms so we could use the bathroom/shower but there are public toilets anyway. We didn’t connect water or electricity. There are taps around. Don’t know if they would allow this as we didn’t ask.

Also a great place to stop and have a refreshing swim and bite to eat it you want to continue on your journey but just need a break.

A great place.

Latest Check-Ins

Nice and very safe overnight spot, but you’re squeezed in between 10 other cars and restaurant tables. Food in the restaurant is average (and cooking in between the restaurant tables would be a bit awkward). Showers are the swimming pool’s outside showers. 5 USD per car.

Only thing extra to say on top of other reviews is that after staying a night they allowed us to keep our bikes/luggage there for 2 nights for free.

Arrived after at least ten blockades. Clean, quiet and surrounded by gate. We had dinner and breakfast. Charged $10 usd for two rigs to camp. They opened a room for us to use shower and bathroom at no extra charge.
Clean pools. Lots of tables.
Watched World Cup.
Recommend especially with kids.
Took USD or Cordobas.

Well they have quickly raised the price to 8 dollars, though they said afterwards it could be cheaper if you decide not to use a room. Really, you do not need a key for a room anyway; the same types of bathrooms and showers are around the premises. So tell them you don't need a room and see what they can do about price.

The food was pretty good here. Very quiet night.

Very friendly staff. They charge us 6usd for parking inside the restaurant/hotel. You have access to a room for bathroom and shower. Also swimming pool. This is the second time we come here.

Nice place to stay after the CR border indeed! They gave us a key for shower and bathroom. 5$/night No need to consume.

It’s a simple stay but a good one. No one speaks English so google translate is your best option if your Spanish is so so.

We could camp in the parking area of the place (hostel and swimming pools) and we’re offered a free cabin to use the shower and toilet. They didn’t charge us for the night or swimming pools as long as we ordered something in the restaurant.

The food is somewhat simple (fries are served on a plastic plate with ketchup in a little bag) but the shrimps with rice and friend bananas are amazing. Cocktails are great as well.

Very kind people - quiet night - no WiFi - we didn’t use electricity so not sure if it’s there.
