Nice and easygoing vibe as described before.

We stayed at one of their „chalets“, which are nice enough but a bit steep with 100 USD for a family of four for what you get.

Complex seems nicely run, lovely views of the bay from the restaurant. Food is good, albeit service is on the slow side.

However, the massive amount of seaweed and plastic trash inside and outside the water ruined it a bit for us. Was also stung by a jellyfish moments after I entered the water.

Maybe we were unlucky with the currents at this time of the year.

Also beware, that they will shamelessly overcharge you, should you order a taxi through them. You are kind of dependent on them, if you have to leave early in the morning to catch an onward bus, as there‘s hardly any Uber or Bolt hanging around in that particular area at that time of the day.

10pppn. Kids charged from 5 on. Payment by card possible. Food good. Much more quiet than sunrise beach (stayed there before, but was unberable on weekend, also only cold showers, abolutions without seat covers). Stored our vehicle for about 3 weeks while on Zanzibar. Showers hot. All was well. Manager checks in with you all the time to make sure you are fine.

Very good place to stay close to Dar. It takes 25 minutes by taxi to go to the center of Dar.
We stayed at the campground - they also have perfectly equipped cottages and dorms. There are dayvisitors coming to the place but they do not enter the campground. It was quite a night and there was good security day and night (guards on the campground at night).
We left our camper at the campground while we went to Sanzibar and it was very well looked after. The manager of the place, Victor Ramward, was very helpfull in organizing transport to the harbour and back. He also send us pictures of our car during our tour to Sanzibar via Whatsapp to ensure us that the car was ok.
They also have a restaurant that serves excellent food at a resonable price.

Its okay, nothing too special and a touristy place for overland trucks and local visitors. Music stopped early luckily and good security around the place.
Expensive if you are use to eating on the side of the road (restaurant from Tzs15.000 for a meal) but fine for a night, good security and 10.000 a day for leaving your car if you want to go to Zanzibar. Bathrooms not cleaned regularly and 10USD is steep for what you get I believe but it is okay. Camping close to the fence bordering the beach with small roofs and table. A Civet cat wanders around at night and many mongooses :) I moved on after a night...

Probably the best place to camp so close to Dar. If you take the ferry, you’re in the heart of Dar within 25 minutes, but the whole place feels like a world away from Dar.

Prices still 10 dollar pppn and electricity 5 dollar per 24h - our solar panel provided all the power we needed. Restaurant is very good and beach relaxed. Lots of visitors though, but very quiet at night. Shower is fresh water. There are sheltered huts with benches, but during the day you’ll probably hang at the beach.

They also offer a halfday snorkling trip for 35 dollar pp (9h-15h).

kipepeo resort is a good place for relaxing on the beach and you are close to the city. 10 dollar pppn. electricity 5 dollar pn

Report Check-In

10usd without hot water, internet (200mb) and electricity are extra. Overpriced just for security... we didnt stay.

Report Check-In

A bit disappointing. Very busy with overlanders and local day visitors. But beach is nice considering how close it is to Dar. $10 pp plus $5 for electricity.

Report Check-In

Many overlander trucks. Campsite is fenced, which is necessary (one guy was robbed yesterday when going for a run at the beach in front of the site). Internet at extra charge. Restaurant had self service, the food was very good. They had no ice for drinks. Ablutions ok, they try to keep it clean. No shade for cars/tents but there are shaded areas to sit. >> 8,5 USD pPpN (power costs 5 USD extra pN). Nice staff:)
