After telling me a higher amount I insist on looking at the official fee list
Fees for staying overnight 1 foreigner, 1 car 4x4, 1 night
Camping: 10$
Conversation fee 4$
Car: 3$
At this time of the year even at the Weekend no hot shower, there are only 2 guests at the place

Beautiful site, lots of braai/ BBQ areas, lots of tables, + trashcans and a few taps. Bathrooms were okay, no water to flush, but not dirty.

We paid $30USD in total ($10 per person (2 of us) + $6 for the car + $4 conservation fee.

Woke up to waterbuck. Very nice.

The camp is very run down and not looked after. Yes, we were here in low season and the only guests but the guy at the gate had said someone will make hot water. When we came back after a long hike in the evening, the donkey wasn't on and even though we tried, we couldn't get hot water that evening. Also, the next morning we had no more running water in the toilet/bathroom as they never refilled the tank.
The trash bin on the campsite was full to the rim (probably not been emptied in weeks) and the baboons take all the trash everyday and throw it around.

We did speak to the reception about the water and trash situation and got hot water for our second night.

The official rates are 10 US$ pppn for camping and 5 US$ per person for the park fees. That brings it to 30 US$ per night for 2 people and the camp is surely not worth it. On arrival already we tried to argue and got at least the local rates (7 US$ pppn for camping).

If you come in wet season, forget about the complimentary wood, as they just leave it in the rain. Also make sure to keep the donkey going once the guys leave as it takes hours to get hot water.

The campsite is shady and grassy, that is true.

We cant share the enthusiasm of some of the previous visitors:
+ campsite location ok, grass, lots of trees, but no view
+ electricity and water points, hot showers: yes
- everything else: very run down and dirty, lots of rubbish laying around

Fees, very confusing and intransparent: first request was for ZIM$ 7’700 (US$26), but earlier on that day we were quoted US$7 for the camping (charged apparently per site and not per person), plus US$3 for the vehicle … which was what we eventually had to pay (ie US$10, which are possibly ‚local‘ rates); no park entrance fee on top of this

Beautiful camping probably one of the most charming we have been so far during our travel in Africa! Pine trees, grass all over, braai areas, electricity on sights, lights.

Report Check-In

Paid $36,- for two nights, a car and park entry. Very quiet. Complementary firewood.

We stayed 2 nights. Campsite is in ok condition, showers are hot, toilets clean. There are baboons in the area but they didn't bother us. There's a nice natural swimming pool.

The park itself is a little bit run down, hiking trails were not accessible when we visited. To climb the highest peak you need to hire a guide (5$ per hour)

Camping including park acces fee is 13$ pppn plus one time 10$ for the vehicle (62$ for 2 night for 2people and a 4x4)
Firewood was available for free.

This spot is nice for taking a relaxing break during your overlanding. Nyanga itself doesn't have a big supermarket so stock up before.

Staff is very friendly and helped us with reservation for mana pools. Wifi is available at reception but didn't work on our iPhones.

Report Check-In

Very large grassy field with trees and lots of braais. When we visited the shower was cold. It looked in good order, but wasn't fired up. We recommend to arrange upon checkin.
USD 10 per person
