Well maintained campsite. Three wind protected huts with benches and tables. Bathroom with toilets and showers. A ranger comes by in the morning and the evening to collect the fee, which us 8.000 CLP per person. However, the parking area in front of the campsite is the only place where motorhomes can be parked. Closed during the low season from about the middle of March to the end of October.

In addition, the trail towards Valle Aviles starts behind the campsite.

Latest Check-Ins

It was closed and inaccessible when we were here.

Casa Piedra is closed for low season at the moment. The other 2 campgrounds were still open when we visited.

really friendly ranger who let us use the showers and electricity when not camping there.
we wanted to do the hike but when it started raining we decided not to go.
don't know how long the main season lasts but mid March it was still 8000pp

4wders must leave vehicle in car park [where we camped]. The showers are wood-fired and hot. The kitchen and common areas were hectic with local families when we stayed. The ranger had good info on the various walks you can do nearby including the excellent Valle del Avilés.

Great campingspot. Less crowded than West Winds. 8000/p (children free) is a fair price for this place and the good facilities. Nice 16 km walk starts from the campsite.

Wonderful campsite with the best hot showers in Chile. The high season rate of 8,000 pp is very reasonable given the facilities and Parque access. Camped fine in the car park with a rooftop tent and used the common rooms (which are really well set up with benches, tables, elec and running water - as well as being very warm.). The trek from here is great. If 5,000/8,000 is too much for you then just move on but don’t complain about it.

As previously noted, only parking for rigs (like our truck camper) was in the parking lot. The campground appeared to be closed and we weren't charged a fee. At this time, the only other campground was at the visitors center. Exceptionally windy.

Open now for the season. We parked in the parking area in our motor home and crossed the walking bridge to use the lovely facilities, hot showers, Banos, sinks for water and washing. Ranger was there and chatted to us but didn't charge us. we met a guy who camped here in his tent a few nights before and he was charged 8000. River here is getting very high as snow is melting and the roads south and North of here are getting quite flooded. We just made it so beware.

We could park our campervan and camp outside the camping and make use of facilities. Young ranger. Nice to talk with, pay 8000 for 2p

Open now! Actually the only one open at the moment as west winds is closed due to road maintenance. Parking for campervans on the parking which does not make it worth the money (8000 pppn). Luckily we could get a discount (8000 per car). Piping hot shower and electricity off. Park itself is definitely worth a visit, such a different type of nature. Great hike to Laguna altas. Consider payment of campground as contribution of beautiful park.

closed (chain+ padlock). No access even to the parking.
no any information about openning date

17 km hike, advised as the most beautiful hike by the administration centre. we didn't know this hike because we came.from argentinian border...

It's closed now (probably because of low season ), so you can stay here for free at the nice located carpark. The watertap outside the toiletbuilding still function, and otherwise you have the clear river. Don't miss the beautifull 17 km hike here.

They dont have a park ranger now. So you can camp there but all the facilities are closed. Only an sink is outside the building. We camped on the parking lot because we have a roof tent.

nice place, if you need a shower, toilets and a room to cook & eat.

we paid 5000 clp.

Wow....this was the best campcround in Southamerica for us and it was free! This is land from the northface (outdoor) owner in Memorial.... Super clean showers and toil. Keep it clean!!

Camping is still for free although it's finished, so I guess it will stay free. Overlanders need to stay on the parking as the little bridge to get to the amenities and campground is not large enough for cars. Only 7 spots on the parking lot so you might not want to arrive here too late. Nice amenities, with possibility to cook with your own gear in the building. Some wind shelter on the parking lot but not great. met other overlanders.

For us overlanders, this are just parking spaces. Occupied by cars of people on the campsite...

Closed and locked facility for holiday. Be aware. We were allowed to camp. No fires in Park. Fresh snow up high.

beautiful place. Great sendero trails. Condors around. All facilities are complete. Toilets, hot showers, inside cooking area with electricity. very nice. will be charging camping fee soon.

It is still free. Very clean, by a river and there is shadow. For us is the best place on this road to spend the night, considering the other possibilities and the road conditions.

Level parking places for over landers stone footbridge over river to new under construction bathrooms. Very quiet, no one here. no facilities yet. pretty protected from the wind.

Still unfinished. Parking for rigs is next to the street and it was a bit too dusty for us.

Part of Patagonia park. Level parking areas for vehicles. Across river/bridge are several tent sites with shelters. Bathrooms were under construction still so free for us. The westwind campground located near the lodge west of here is finished and has full facilities $5000 per person.
