Description

Cool little hotel that allows camping for rigs or tents next to beach. Mayto has miles of untouched wild beach. Friendly nice owner, Tony. Shaded palapas tables and chairs. Wifi at the hotel. Cold showers. Eco ranch next door. Turtles.
Run by Tony from Hotel Mazul now. Really nice spots, especially if you can score the big spot up on the hill! The view is absolutely stunning! Great beach for fishing, too rough for swimming or surfing when we were there. Check the wind forecast before you go, we had a wildly windy day there, but the rest were amazing. Cold showers inside the washrooms. Wifi didn’t really work, nor did 3G. If lounging in a hammock with a great view is your vibe, don’t miss out! We paid 250 pesos per night for 2 people and a truck camper.

If you want to escape the tourist hustle and bustle, you are in good hands here. Very relaxed here great owner very nice beaches. 200 pesos per night. No telcel signal, wifi is slow.
The coordinates are not accurate. We were at the Hotel Mayto which also offer camping but for 400 pesos per person.
At the intersection before the Hotel Mayto turn left and follow the road to the end.

It was lovely but windy and I was told that is normal. I don't have much to add to what everyone else has stated but I did want to warn you about the dirt road going from Mayto south. Don't do it! Absolutely the worse road I've ever been on. Freaking Google!

AMAZING camping spot. By far our favourite place on mainland Mexico coast between here and Mazatlán. It’s beautiful and unspoilt and the hill-top camping pitch with waves and beach all around you is just too idyllic for words. Suitable for a small campervan or car with RTT. The other pitches right by the beach look very nice too with lots of space and clearance for bigger vehicles. The WiFi worked OK for us - it reaches to the hilltop pitch but probably not to the other beach pitches. The toilet is basic (no seat) but clean and not unpleasant. Sometimes you have to flush with a bucket as the running water supply is temperamental. We paid 200 pesos for the pitch, but we told Tony he should charge more (sorry!).

The camping is run by Tony at Hotel Mazul now, not El Rinconcito. Amazing spot on the hill! The view is stunning. The beach is great for fishing, a bit rough and rocky for swimming or surfing. Check the wind forecast before you go, we had a crazy windy day one day that didn’t really allow for sitting comfortably outside, but the rest was A+! If laying in a hammock with a stunning view is your vibe, don’t miss out! We paid 250/night for 2 people and a truck camper. Don’t count on the wifi working well anywhere. 3G enough to let some whatsapp messages go through, but nothing else loaded. Showers are cool water inside the washrooms. Enjoy!

The best place we’ve stayed in yet! Tony now has a spot on the cliff you can park. He has electricity hookups, showers (cold), and bathrooms. Absolutely gorgeous!!! Mayto is paradise. It was hard to leave. We paid 200 per person per night and it was worth it!!!

Camping in tents under a large palapa at the end of a long pretty deserted beach. nice bathrooms and showers off the bar. 150 pesos per person.

Fernando is a really nice guy, his English is way better than my Spanish! He raised the price for camping to $150 pesos a night for my trailer. I camped right behind the palapa's it's a bit of a drive down a malo real (although they are working on it). But worth it, the water is very clean and warm. I haven't tried the showers yet if they're cold it'll wake me up in the morning.

Stayed 8 nights. Mostly waiting for visitors to arrive in Puerto Vallarta. Casual spot. 100 pesos a person. Dog no problem. Internet not really. when we got there they said it had been out 6 weeks and didn't seem like they really cared. They do have internet but your lucky if you score an email in or out. in our 8 days we got a couple messages back and fourth.
We felt very safe and comfortable. There is a turtle sanctuary walking distance up the beach that is free. Just walk up in the day and ask when there releasing next. You get to hold the baby turtle and in a line across the beach as everyone let's them go.
