Beautiful site directly at Oranje River with mountain view. Well maintained ablutions. Sandy terrain with some leafy trees.

Beautiful place to sleep and to wake up. Was completely packed with people when we were there, as Richtersveld camp and Kokerboomkloof were not running. There is no "designated" campsites, you park wherever you can so it could be messy and not very private... The combo "wind/fine loose sand" was really a nightmare in the afternoon until sunset.
Report Check-InMy favourite in the park because we were able to swim in the river. (Richtersberg camp was closed due to floods so never got to experience camping there to compare). We saw black back jackal, baboons (which did not bother us one bit!!), a legavaan which was sunning itself on the beach and then ran into the river and swam to the bamboo bush when it saw me. Difficult to find constant shade but we managed with a tree and our awning.
Report Check-InVery quiet campsite with good ablution blocks. We were totally alone. Nice swim in the Orange River. Nice scenery of the mountains of the Namibian side of the park.
Report Check-InVery nice campsite! The 3 ablution blocks are a couple of hundred meters apart. So just pick a spot and enjoy. Good swimming in the river. Price is 290 per group.
Report Check-InWhat a beautiful and fantastic camp. No power, running water and flush toilet. The Orange River is the perfect swimming, fishing and recreational zone.

beautiful campsite in the richterveld np, situated on the sandbank of the oranje-river. simple and clean shower- and toilettblock, the river is very nice for swimming. the 4 starrating i gave for the awesome location.
