Description

This little beach front is finally making a comeback. Policía are on site 24 hrs. Restaurant on beach has baños when open. Beautiful clean bay. Great swimming & snorkeling. Busy with locals during the day. Quiet at night.

If you walk over the hill to the right, it will take you to another little bay that is even more beautiful than the main beach.

Ok Spot. Quiet at night, but really busy during the bay. Trash is there, but not as much as you would expect. Beach over the hill is nicer, not the easiest way to get to. Check first if there is space, just a few spots without deep, soft sand.
Toiletts 10 Mex
Trash Cans on site

Fantastic spot! We slept 2 nights here. Beautiful beach (full with tables and chairs to rent) with nice snorkeling (by the rocks) busy with the locals during the day (very busy on Sunday). Total quiet at night, except for the sound of waves! Washrooms during the day for ten pesos.

Very nice beach camping at Playa Tenacatita. A paved road leads to the beach where you find a stretch with umbrellas and chairs for rent and a couple of restaurants and rustic banos for 10 Pesos. Surprisingly there is private security. Many locals and few canadian tourists come to the beach during daytime but leave at sunset. Very quiet during the night.

Fantastic place, exactly as described. Free camping on the beach, 24 hour security, beach and water are terrific. Locals are friendly and helpful. No toilets, fresh water or shade so be prepared. Nearby town has the essentials. Not crowded, quiet, very nice.

As it was said. Free and safe. Nice beach although there were like 150 umbrellas with chairs in almost the hole beach. the rented them but they occupied the space, and we only saw 3 or 4 families using thrm. looks like a cementery of white chairs.
We walk to the next beach to see the sunset. Mosquitos seems not we worried with the mosquito's spray... they were hungry :(

Great beach, free camping, private security 24h on site. Enjoy it while it is still possible because it is just a matter of time before it will become a resort-hotel.
Nice food/drinks in the beach resto's. Support them now be for they will be shut down.
The snorkeling near the rocks on the right side of the beach was perfect: turtles, Murray eels, stingrays,...
Just make sure that you are prepared when the sun sets. Mosquitos are hungry. Only lasts one hour, then they dissappear again.
Local tourists during daytime, we had the place to ourself at night.

What a find! Very nice beach with chairs and umbrellas for rent by locals for 150 pesos for the day. They all have menus and will fetch food to bring to you. When you get to the T at the beach go left to more quiet area. Park next to the beach for free! As stated private security is on site and patrols 24 hrs a day. Very safe place.

We parked near Pancho's place (the gentleman that runs the distillery), Fiesta Mexicana Restaurant with a big green tarp. He also has a black water tank on the back of a truck with dulce aqua (sweet water) for rinsing off after swimming in the ocean.

Super friendly locals. We're offered a 5hr fishing trip for 2000 pesos, including lunch and waters. The only downside was the humidity and bugs that came out in the evening and morning hours.

As described. A wonderful place. Crowded at weekend. And don't forget to order your meal at Mani's. Everything is delicious.

Nice beach, free camping with security guards 24/7. Camp anywhere on the water side of the road but be aware that this is a public beach. Quiet at night. There’s a rudimentary toilet about 30 meters from the beach. Apparently, a big developer is trying to take the beach to build a huge hotel but so far the village has successfully resisted the development. Be sure to patronize local businesses—this has been difficult for them.

Perfect for boondocking. There are some empty ramadas half way down the beach. Restaurante Chito’s has baños and a cold shower. No hookups.
